Chinese porcelain vase in clair de lune glaze. Six characters Qianlong mark, we date it to Guangxu period based on the written style of the mark and other factors. Condition: There is one chip on the foot rim, no other damage besides this. Height: 14"
This is a very fine and highly decorated cloisonne vase from Ota. I has 6 different panels and loads of detail and colorful scroll work. The hardwood (Rosewood or Mahogany) stand is old an is included with the vase. The vase stands 6 inches tall and is in excellent condition.

Unusual and original antique Japanese cast iron zen panel gong, or "umpan" meaning "cloud plate", usually hung outside of the kitchen area. Stylized decorations on the front include characters meaning both "sun" and "moon", a lucky bat, gourd medicine bottles, and lotus petals.

As for this, a pattern is Tabanenosi and a family coat of arms. As for this, Tabanenosi is expressed like Kuwagata Maedate of Samurai Kabuto. And Kuwagata Maedate of Samurai surrounds a family coat of arms. This seems to express a family in succession to a pride of Samurai...

Chinese Cizhou type small bowl, with a character "Yuan" on the inside bottom of the bowl. Yuan Dynasty. Condition: there are some glaze chips on the rim, no other flaw beside these. Diameter: 4-3/8".
Charming Japanese small tansu (merchant's chest) in original red lacquer finish with black lacquer frame, made with Kuri (chestnut) front drawers and Sugi (cypress) sides. Important Antique Japanese Buddhist Pilgrim's coat. Buddhist monks would embark on a pilgrimage to travel temple to temple. Upon arriving to each temple, the monk would bathe before giving offerings and reciting prayers as well as receive a stamp distinctive to each temple. Normally a monk would carry around a special stamp book however it is not unusual to stamp the monk's coat as seen here.

Statue of Jambhala, also known as Kubera or Vaishravana, wearing necklace, dhoti and diadem, sitting on a double lotus throne, holding the mongoose that spits jewels in his left hand and a currency in his right hand. The statue may have had a mandorla affixed at its back in the past. Bronze, with green and reddish patina particularly under the statue. Tibet, early 19th century. Height: 7 cm. Very good condition. NOTE: Kubera is the Tibetan God of Wealth and Prosperity.

The shoulder and cover decorated with lotus scrolls, the finial in the form of a chrysanthemum blossom. The lacquer over a metal base.

Of evenly proportioned ovoid form with short tapered neck ending in an everted and
rolled lip, white slip brushed limited to two bands lower on the body and the white slip
stoping unevenly, painted in underglaze iron with two scrolling leaf sprays (ginseng leaves)
within carved concentric lines on each side...
We present another awesome Shino-Oribe Chawan from our collection: Greyish-whithe glaze amalgamates with a wild and roughly thrown body and a still vivid and strong glaze. It is very heavy for a tea bowl, almost 500g. Please note that there is also an interesting kiln mark.
The chawan dates from the Meiji Period (1868-1912) and comes with a very good wood box.
