Antique Japanese pair of bronze warrior attendant figures. Dressed in Chinese armor and holding tall poles. Their tight curls suggest the mains of fu-dogs. Made of bronze with mixed metal details. The figures stand on square, footed platforms. Intricately sculpted with great movement and expression.

Chawan tea bowl, or perhaps a soup bowl or a mukozuke. Fairly thin stoneware modeled in the shape of a drum with 8 nails (protrusions) along the upper edge that would hold the drum skin in place. Deep green glaze. Eight vertical lines engraved and filled in with gold.

A triangular shape is cut out of the foot by way of a potter’s mark. In the center of the bottom a round Raku seal impressed...

The early 20th century celluloid netsuke is 2 1/8” in diameter and 5/8” thick. This kind of netsuke is called “Kagamibuta.” It is shaped like a Manju (round doughnut) but with a metal disc serving as a lid to a shallow bowl. The pressed silver alloy disc has a dragon design. It is in excellent condition.

Large and unusual Japanese antique fish plate. Made to look as if one fish overlaps the other with raised details such as fins and eyes. The large white fish is further decorated with blossoming branches, butterflies and a small bird with gold details. The bottom fish is orange with blue fins and intricate scales painted in gold. Scrolling vines and peony flowers decorate the rim of the underside of the plate...

Beautiful Japanese kesa made from a very high quality silk brocade. The work shown on this kesa is truly amazing. The gold picks up light easily and when it does, it changes the whole kesa to a golden color. The decoration is an auspicious floral design of hosoge (ancient imaginary flowers said to bloom in heaven) and karakusa...

Chinese Polychrome painted on Wood Storage Box or Trunk, "as is" condition, 18" high, 26" x 20" wide, wood is light weight, with floral painting on one(1) side, Chinese Opera Scenery on the other side, with metal handle on both side on top of the floral decoration, top doesn't fit tightly, the reed wrapping is loose.

Pair of Chinese peking glass vases, with mirror-image enamel grasshoppers seated upon a mass of flower stems over a mossy forest bed with small rocks. An antique bronze Inoshishi (white-moustached pig) made by Hobundo. It features prominently in Japanese culture, where it is widely seen as a fearsome and reckless animal,Among Japanese hunters, the boar's courage and defiance is a source of admiration, and hunters and mountain people not uncommonly name their sons after the animal. The underside of the pig has a maker's mark.

Antique Japanese single section todana tansu made of sugi (cryptomeria) wood. This todana is divided into two large upper and lower compartments, each with two sliding door panels. Each panel in reinforced with horizontal wooden slats. Natural wood finish.

Dimensions: 69" high x 63 1/2" wide x 20 1/4" deep

Found in the Philippines. Featuring a circular body, resting on a short straight foot and is decorated with a carved central floral spray, adorned with combed lines. The box is covered overall in a pale green celadon glaze, except for its base, which is left fully unglazed and partially burnt to red. Measurements: diameter (3.9"inches) across. Condition: in perfect condition. No repairs, UV light checked...

Edwardian glass sugar caster with sterling silver cover. Made by the Merrill Shops in New York, ca 1910. Bowl has upward tapering sides with cut ferns and stars, and leaf mouth rim. Cover domed and pierced. Fully marked including maker’s stamp and no. 2103. Very good condition.

This is a perfect plate painted in full flora pattern in the greyish blue color , definitely an authentic chinese Qing dynasty era plate , probably mid Qing era , very nice design !
