Provenance: I was happy to be able to buy the collection of Chinese, Neolithic jades from the deceased estate of a distinguished Professor and collector of Chinese art.
The collection formed in the 1980s to 90s.
This quilt is made out of an old Japanese nobori banner probably from the Meiji period (1868-1912). The upper part of the banner, where the family crest (Mon) is dyed, was used for the border and two figures were sewn together side by side. The brown fabrics on each side of the design are the reverse side of an old obi sash. All hand-sewn except for the straight line where the panels were put together...
A square composite panel made of antique embroideries from the Greek islands (Ottoman Empire). The basic fabrics are different plain cotton weaves, embroidered with silk or wool and metal wrapped threads. Traces of former mounting, maybe as a pillow cover. Condition: one hole (see photo no. 4), some slits, some missing threads, little faded. Dimension: 51 cm x 52.5 cm.
Chinese yixing teapot from Tek sing cargo shipwreck. 16 cm wide. 10,5 cm high. Good conditions.
Souvenir Metal Cup from Victoria, British Columbia, Canada with four applied metal plaques, circa 1920. The top plaque reads: “THE GOVERNMENT OF THE PROVINCE OF BRITISH COLUMBIA”. The left plaque reads: “THE GORG, VICTORIA B.C.” and the left one reads: “PARLIAMENT BUILDING, VICTORIA B.C.”

A rare deceptive toastmaster's baluster form wine glass with a heavy walled conical bowl above three collars and a teared inverted baluster stem. Folded conical foot with a rough pontil.
Excellent condition with no issues, and having fine color, striations, and tooling marks. 5 1/8" in height, with a bowl diameter of 2 1/2" and a foot diameter of 2 3/4".
This is a northern Song dynasty green glazed bowl. It stands on a foot rim with a recess base exposing the light buff colour stoneware and then extending upwards with a C-shaped rounded body with a rounded rim like a lip. On the cavetto, it is incised with four bud of swirling flowers with lightly combed designed in between and the centre of the bowl.
The bowl is in good condition with the exception of minute abrasion and glaze fritting...

A lovely teal green blow glass hyacinth or bulb vase in the classic cone shape. The flared rim was intended to hold a hyacinth or other bulb just above the water line to root. Forcing bulbs was a popular Victorian pursuit and hyacinth vases were lovely adornments for kitchen and conservatory windows. The teal green is an unusual shade. The bottom has a sheared pontil.
Origin: America, probably New England, ca. 1890. Condition: no chips or cracks, some water staining on interior...
A Large Blue Delft Charger, with a pattern in the Center of a Bird, Flowers and a Vase. Dimensions; 14" in diameter x 2" deep. Circa 1750-1770. Old tag on back indicates the origin in Lamberth, Normal edge wear for Delft.
A rare antique Japanese Niigata Kiri Children's Kasane Tansu (stacking chest on chest) made entirely of Kirinoki (Paulownia) wood. It features a stylized Chrysanthemum design on each plate which represents the Mon or family crest of the original owner and Gumbai handles. The iron fittings were all hand made and the chest was constructed using straight dovetail joinery and hardened wooden nails.
These children's chests are not often seen in Japan...
