A Korean Rare/Fine Scholar’s Wood Bookshelf Chest:
Korean, Joseon period, 19th century
The paulownia wood surfaces ot the rectangular chest covered by old aged natural patina,
mounted with metal fittings, the two central and rectangular hinged doors,
and mounted with metal hinges and lock attacked to the lockplate
the two doors opening to the double inner horizontal compartments set.
It’s in fine condition with aged natural patina.
Measurements; 86cm x 42.5cm x 70cm h.

This is Swan 's wing Weave haori coat very rare at the end of bakumatsu of Edo period(1852-1867). This was made in the Tohoku region. There are a water-repellent effect and an effect of heat insulation of swan's shuttlecock. Textile seems to be hand spun and woven.It is little, is thin, and it sees. There is no damage. The lining is silk. There is a little repair mark in the lining. The cloth is strong and the state is very good. It is wonderful textile.It is also possible to enjoy putting it on...

The round funnel bowl features an oval cartouche with a pair of clasped hands, reaching out of clouds, in front of a blazing heart, all of this backed by rays of sunshine. The cartouche is surrounded by fulsomely engraved elaborate scrolls, foliage, and groups of flowers, all highlighted by superb polished details...
Superb potted by Yixing artist Jiang Qinfen and signed 3 times ( 2 x to the inside of the lid and 1 x to the underside of the handle ) all the marks are visible on the enlargements.

Attractive antique sterling engraved Match Safe Case, marked W&H CO. STERLING 1, comprising a rectangular shape with engraved leaf and branch design on the front, Victorian monogram SHR, decorative engraving on back, hinged top. Nice patina of old silver. A spectacular Chelsea porcelain covered porringer. This wonderful piece is profusely decorated, even on the inside of the bowl, with butterflies, moths, other insects, and flowers. A veritable rainbow of colors was used in the enameling. The finial on the lid is a naturalistically molded rose with hues of reds and pinks, and the handles are painted with a distinct bluish green...
Guangxu mark and period, 1875-1908
The interior is well-painted in various colors of overglaze enamels, having a central Shou medallion surrounded by four auspicious characters rendered in gold with red outlines on a white ground. The reverse is painted with two flower sprays over the clear glaze which covers all but the exposed footring. The six-character Guangxu mark is painted in two vertical lines in dark red enamel. The yellow enamel has some areas of light wear from use...
