This beautiful bone weaving tool is from the central coast area of Peru. It is from the Chancay culture. 800AD-1200AD. It has a carved pelican and jaguar on the knuckle. It is 6 3/4" long and has nice polish. It is a no-brainer. I purchased it from HD Enterprises on October 12, 1989.

Magnificent American Classical coin silver tureen. Made by Gorham in Providence, ca 1860. Curved ovoid bowl on stepped oval foot mounted to four beaded and round supports. Cover domed. Bowl rim has bold beading bordered by applied guilloche. On each end is cast satyr’s head with flamboyantly ribbed horns and slack jaw holding loose-mounted ring. This pre-Columbian Chancay bone flute is from the central coast area of Peru, 800AD-1200AD. It is 6" long and has four holes on the top and one on the bottom. The knuckle is carved with a very nice frog and two serpents/snakes along the sides. It is in beautiful, solid condition with superb patina. A real no-brainer. I purchased it on October 12, 1989 from HD Enterprises.

Victorian Modern sterling silver and glass decanter. Made by Edgar Finley & Hugh Taylor in Birmingham in 1884. Clear glass cylinder on round and spread base. Flat girdle with applied chevron and stud. Rim collar same with triangular spout. Cover hinged with canted sides and ball finial. Mortis and tenon-style bracket handle. Very good design. Fully marked. Fine condition.

We love these royal blue mirror glass earrings which shine a brighter Bristol blue with the slightest head movement. the beveled hand carved edge is a lovely detail which was clearly time consuming for the maker. The plate glass factory at Vauxhall was known for its production of mirror glass, but in addition, the company employed skillful artisans to produce jewelry out of the remaining shards. Thus was created Vauxhall glass jewelry, much loved then and by collectors today...

A square opium tray with vertical rim and recessed corners, made of baitong ("white copper", an alloy from different metals). The interior nicely incised with three ladies standing before a house with a moon window. Condition: some traces of usage, the corners with solder residue,some spots. The base: not completely even and with some spots. Dimension: c. 25.3 cm x 25.3 cm, c. 1.5 cm high, weight: 950g.

3 pieces trio set of Chinese Export Famille Rose Porcelain set, consist of the Tea Bowl, Saucer and a demitasse cup with handle, Ca. 1800, 5" diameter(saucer), 3" diameter and 1 3/4" high(tea bowl), 2 1/4" high and 3 1/8" wide include handle(demitasse cup), decorated overglaze gold and orange color of Initials "JMB" within pink floral drapes along the rim as well as inner circle, demitasse cup has restored chip on the rim, tea bowl and saucer are in good condition.

Chinese Export Porcelain Famille Rose Tea Bowl and Saucer, ca. 1800, 3 1/2" diameter and 1 7/8" high(tea bowl), 5 1/2"diameter and 1 1/8" high(saucer), overglaze enamel design of small flowers and bugs within fluted rim. Saucer has two(2) small frits 1/8" wide and 3/8" long and glaze hair line extended from the frit on the rim 1/2" long.

Jewelers produced tie pins in the 19th century to meet the increasing demand for novelty jewelry. The spiral ridge near the top of the pin helps to hold the item of clothing, whether it be a tie or a scarf, securely in place. The increasingly liberated and activism of women toward the later half of the 19th century gave rise to a new class of sporting jewelry. Many an equestrienne was wearing horseshoe pins to the lapel of her riding clothes by the 1880's...

Paper money did not exist in Joseon Dynasty Korea, and the coins were of very small denominations. They had to be strung together in large, heavy quantities to have any worth, so a strong money box was a necessity...

C. 1880 Hand carved Wood Box Engraved mother of pearl box measures just over 2 inches square. The top slides cleanly off the base to uncover beautiul mother of pearl "puzzle pieces", probably intended as a game whereby one must get the pieces back in the same order. A lovely Victorian box for the discerning box collector.
