Straight and upward tapering sides with applied pictorial frieze on engraved and stippled ground: Scenes of social life with contemplative sages and chaste maidens amongst palm trees and pagodas. Pastoral exoticism enlivened with scaly, slithering dragon handle, ferocious head peaking above the rim. Armorial cartouche (vacant). Marked “HCH”. Very good condition.

This Chinese Tong Zhi period (1862~1874) small porcelain bowl is 2 inches tall and 3 ½ inches in diameter. It depicts colorful flowers, such as roses, plum blossoms, chrysanthemum and insects, such as a grasshopper and cricket over a white background. Some of the gold rim has worn off because of its age. It is in great condition.
Late 19th century bone ojime (slide bead for tightening the cord going from netsuke to inro) carved as a toy dog (inu hariko) with a loop for hanging with gold, red and black lacquer decoration. Inu hariko are traditionally considered to be protective talismans for newborn babies. Very pleasant carving, beautiful warm patina, in great condition (some losses to lacquer). Height 9/16 inches.
A Pair of Sterling Tazzas or Cake Trays, by Dominick and Haff with an Extensively Chased Design. Dimensions; 11" in diameter and 4.5" high. Weight is and impressive 25 ounces each (50 ounces total). There is a monogram "R" on one of them. From the early 1900's and in excellent condition. Note that there are a matching pair pair of candlesticks available (Item number 1418).

The size of Imari Bowl: 6 1/4" Dia x 2 1/8" H.. This is unusual design of geese flying with gold cloud and moon over Susuki Grass(Japanese pampass Grass and wild flowers.) The design like Ogata Korin's. The inner border with red band with gold. It is deeper than regular Namasu bowl and little bigger. Outside bowl has nice Karakusa design in blue under glaze and lavender color painting. The condition of bowl excellent, no chip, no crack, and no hairline. No scratch on the surface...
DESCRIPTION: A large, ten pronged tortoise shell comb made for the European market (Victorian era, circa 1880-1890). The fashion of the day included large elaborate combs placed in upswept hair, and this one is a real beauty! The curved prongs and scalloped crown are from a single piece of shell which is mounted with three large round beads and two carved triangular designs. Very good condition with only a couple of tiny nits that are difficult to even see...
Antique Japanese light weight Jingasa (Samurai hat) made with a basketweave bamboo and paper coated in black and red lacquer. The front of the hat has the gilt paulownia leaf mon (family crest) with the top decorated with a three prong yari forming a trident.

This Qing Boys ginger jar is in good condition except some star crack appear inside and no crack or chip , glaze outside without any star crack

Chinese yellow soapstone scholar's seal. The stone is carved with scenes of sages and their attendant with landscape ground of mountains, pine trees, and bamboo. The reverse is also carved with a man seated at the edge of water, his finger pointing towards the mountains where a temple roof is partially unobscured. The seal on the base of the soapstone reads "a virtue should be praised".

On a fundame lacquer base, the decoration, on one side, black and red, of a rooster, hen and chicks under bamboo with the sea in the background and on the other side a fisherman's hut by the sea in front of the imposing presence of Mount Fuji. The lacquer work is particularly subtle in hira and taka maki-e. The interior of the compartments is nashiji lacquer. The ojime is made of malachite. Signed: Nikkosai. Height: 8.4 cm.
A hair ornament made of gilt silver, showing a vase with flowers. Reverse with Chinese character hallmark. Condition: fine, little wear to gilding. Dimension: 11.5 cm long x 2 cm wide, weight: 8 g.

A fine specimen of a Danish Neolithic Battle Mace, dating to Single Grave Period - c. 2800-2400 B.C.
The mace is carved from hardstone with an elliptical body. In the center a furrow - approx. 0,5 deep and 1 cm. wide - is carved, to make a secure fastening of the mace to the wooden shaft.
Size: 11 x 5 x 6 cm - weighing 720 gr.
Condition: A choice mace with very few imperfections. Nice patination.
