Song dynasty yaozhou celadon bowl decorated with carved flowers motive. 18,5cm diameter. bowl has some chipped at the rim on repaired.

A fine Roman blown glass bottle in a deep amethyst color. Most likely a medicinal flask or unguent vial. It is evenly translucent with very little earthen deposits and encrustation. Quite rare and beautifully well preserved, it dates circa 1st-3rd century A.D. Measurements 4.75" x 3".

This old relic field marker was dug up by a friends father while doing archaeological research (i.e. digging up fields) in China years ago. For centuries, during planting,such markers were commonly buried in the fields as a talisman for a bountiful harvest. It is made of clay, high fired stoneware, and has a few chips missing...as to be expected after being buried in a field.....

An interesting and rare dish, something of a homage both to Nabeshima ware and root vegetables. The central motif is a Daikon painted in underglaze blue, following a similar motif found on Nabeshima porcelain, see Les Cadeaux au Shogun page 155, plate no 28, for a large Nabeshima dish decorated with a similar representation of a daikon set against a repeating wave ground,...

An antique Japanese Wood Buddhist altar fitting known as a keman. The hand fan like shape were thought to have originated from flower garland offerings seen in India.
