These identical jars feature a translucent green Qingbai-type glaze that pools on its carved lines. Its moulded structural form is covered by a roof tiled lid. Their base remains unglazed.
Measurements: approximately, H 6”inches.
Condition: both are in excellent condition.

This jar features an unglazed incised decoration of wavy patterns and lines with six vertical lug handles.

Japanese mirror in cast bronze, partially silvered. Rare and elegant decoration in relief, in the center the "Mon" of the Tori-O clan of Yamaguchi in Suwo, surrounded by scrolls of flowers and stylized clouds mixed with Ginkgo Biloba leaves. The handle is covered with thin strips of bamboo. Japanese work probably from the 19th century or much earlier. Diameter: 17cm Total length: 26cm .Silvering partly erased. Original bamboo. Good condition. Traces of oxidation...

Small octagonal hard porcelain vase. Decor enamelled with a landscape fenced with hedges of dry branches, there are a prunus, a pine and on the ground young bamboo shoots which would signify the symbolic presence of the "three friends", on the collar is represented a Ho-ho (phoenix) which in Japan symbolizes the Empress. Some details are gold. The style is kakiemon but this small vase is atypical. It is difficult to date and also to locate with precision...

Covered box with a blue-and-white underglaze painting of geometric panels and a foliate center. A very similar example can be seen in the book “A Pocket Guide to Oriental Ceramics in the Philippines” page 80; plate 30 or exhibit 30.
Measurements: height 4.5cm, width 6.5cm.
Condition: the rim inside the box is chipped as seen in one of the provided photos. The underglaze decoration is very much visible.

Unusual 1890s - 1910s (late Meiji - early Taisho) Japanese wooden nyoi - a Buddhist scepter - made out of a natural branch or root, its head with wonderful pattern of roiling clouds.
