Antique 19th century Tibetan, huge Drinking Horn used to hold and dispense Chhaang or barley beer. The slightly curved large horn body mounted with four brass mounts each hammered and finely repoussed with Ruyi heads and roiling waves ornaments and fitted with three suspension loops. 19th century Japanese Asakusa school staghorn kiseruzutsu - tobacco pipe holder - carved in a shape of a stem of Fungus of Immortality with five fungus heads. Could serve as nyoi, or Ruyi scepter - traditional symbol of scholarship and transmission of knowledge. Elegant carving, excellent rendition of fungus head textures, superb staining typical for the Asakusa School pieces. Very clever design, excellent wear and patina on the surface. Length 7 1/2 inches.

Antique Japanese small lacquer tebako (accessory box) decorated with a design of wildflowers that wraps around the sides of the box. Gold maki-e lacquer with fine detail and a mist of gold flecks on a black lacquer ground. The entire interior as well as the underside of the box is covered in a dense gold nishiji.

Yuan qingbai cup with floral scroll decoration on the body, unglazed concave base. Measure W=6.5 cm, H=3.5 cm Yuan Dynasty Condition : perfect, no chips, cracks, hairlines or restoration.

Height approximately 31 cm. There are 2 cracks from the rim to the body and 1 hairline at the rim.

A fine and rare incense burner (zhudiao xianglu ) of tripod form with a pair of handles carved of a piece of bamboo root. A ornamented band running along the rim. Qing, Jiaqing or early Daoguang, c. 1800–1830. H 10 cm, D 6.8 cm. Condition: Excellent with nice wear from handling.

A genuine large old Rajasthani storytellers scroll of the Pabuji legend. Hand painted on thick cotton. Estimated to be early 20th century or earlier. 240 x 92 cm. Can be viewed in central London.

Fine iron jizai of a butterfly with articulated wings.

The butterfly (choho) in Japan is perceived as "the soul of the living and the dead", the spirits of the dead taking the form of a butterfly on their journey to the other world. The butterfly spreading its wings is a symbol of femininity. It can also symbolize joy and longevity. This last motif is taken up by the samurai, seeing in its twirling figure a motive of good omen allowing them to reach immortality...

This is a small and very finely potted Song Dynasty (960 – 1276) small yingqing bowl. It stands on a short glazed foot rim and base rising to an everted u-shaped glazed body stopping short of the rim. Both the rim inside and outside of the bowl is unglazed exposing the porcelaneous body...

Height approximately 32 cm (included the wooden lid). There are a few chips on the rim where the wooden lid supports and a few chips on the base. No hairlines, no cracks, no repairs. In good condition.

13"H buff-colored earthenware Yangshao type funerary urn decorated on the shoulders with bold black and red geometric designs. The symbolic significance of this decoration is apparently unknown. Ovoid form with a wide body extending to its widest girth at the mid-section and tapering to a narrow base. Two strap handles at the sides. Neck ending in an everted rim with evenly spaced tiny holes. Machang type (circa 2200 B.C.) of the Majiayao culture, Gansu Province...
