A very rare sancai original, three color, glazed Tang duck cup probably used for drinking rice wine. Three colors with some blue cobalt. Check the closeup photos of the glaze with the natural cracking of the glaze due to long burial. It shows the authenticity of the piece. Size: L.16cm,H.9cm,W.8cm. Condition: Small chip on the rim. A silver mounted 16th century Annamese vase with definitely the strongest and deepest cobalt blue ever reported on Annamese ware worldwide. Take me at my word that neither in any museum collection nor in any private collection can be found any Annamese piece with a better cobalt blue than the blue of this vase...

Colorful fragment from a sarcophagus. Depicting and facing left, Osiris and two of the four sons of Horus - the falcon headed god - Qebehsenuef and the jackal headed god, Duamutef. This tsakli painting depicts the fierce deity Mahakala, wearing a tiger's pelt and elephant skin, with decapitated heads strung around his waist. A Chinese Yue Celadon Glazed Chicken-Head Ewer. Circa, 220-589, Six Dynasties. This jar features a compressed globular body with a short neck that flares to a thick upper flange which is slightly depressed in the center. Opposite its thick curved handle is a chicken-head spout. Two lug handles set on its shoulders and is covered with a green celadon glaze. Its base is unglazed exposing a compact grey stoneware clay. Found in the Philippines...

An unsigned Steuben acid cut back vase, Steuben factory shape 5145, 12 inches tall. The vase is green jade cased over alabaster in what may be a unique design. Antique Japanese choba tansu (merchant's chest) with interesting features such as semi circle corner hardware, cross plating over sliding doors, squared locks, and mokko (melon) style handles. This is a profusely decorated ultra fine Japanese cloisonne vase. It is in perfect condition and panel vases like this one do not come any better. The quality matches many early Hayashi vases. he rims are silver. It stands 6 inches tall and is signed Ota Kichisaburo. A few years ago we had a similar pair signed by Shibata that were of the same quality. See the last image.
