A very early Bohemian ale glass with ruby flashed vine decoration on round puck base with polished bottom which supports fluted bowl with aforementioned design. Base, knop, and rim banded with red. This very early hand blown glass dates to c. 1850 and is rather rare. Condition is excellent with some very minor scattered finish fading...

Antique, Victorian 19th century English hand -blown cranberry glass vase of exceptional quality. Cranberry glass was made by adding gold to molten glass. It is an expensive and difficult process. A slight error can result in a muddy color instead of the pretty pink of cranberry.

A three-color overshot coverlet with a pattern of snowballs and stripes on the dark ground side. The border on three sides is wavy lines and the fringe is a continuation of the white warp threads on the bottom and the red and blue weft threads on the sides. The warp is cotton and the weft is wool. The seam down the middle indicates that it was done on a narrow loom, though the sophisticated design and the three colors suggest that it was woven by a professional. A cloisonné belt ornament from Southern China with flora and bird design. The cloisonné is identical on both sides with very high quality workmanship. Age: Late Qing, 19th century. Size: L.30cm. W. 7cm. Condition: No repairs.

Offered is this pair of tall (11 3/4 inches or 29,5 cm in height) hand-painted portrait glass vases - the vases are unsigned, but were painted by Josef Ahne in all likelihood (refer to page 33 of Truitts' book on Bohemian glass for similar-shaped Ahne portrait vases). There is a small flake on the inner-rim of one vase (see picture).

These 10 crystal champagne glasses were produced in Bohemia, part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire in the late 19th century. The specific maker is unknown. The glasses are 5 11/16 inches high and have a diameter of 3 ¾ inches. They are hand blown crystal and have hand cut stems. The stem of the glass is hollow for a reason. When champagne is poured into this type of glass the bubbles come up like a volcanic eruption...

Offered is this beautiful, 12-piece, coralene-enhanced glass set (6 glasses and 6 stems), made by Moser. The set is in good condition. Unsigned - almost certainly made by Moser, based on the coralene decor (please refer to Baldwin's book for similar coralene-decor Moser items).

Antique 18th -19th century Silesian or Bohemian glass 'Humpen' beaker, with the King's Augustus II monogram AR (Augustus Rex). King Augustus II, "The Strong" (in Polish - August Mocny, in German - August der Starke), was king of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania (reigned 1697-1704 and 1709-1733) and prince-elector of Saxony as Friederich August I (ruled 1694-1733)...

Japanese Wood Compass Ojime, 19th C. Meiji period, 3/4" diameter round, 3/8" deep, front part has glass front, needle is moving, holes on both side for cord go through, back is rounded solid wood with double circles. Ojime is the small object with very interesting and humorous design go through the cord between Netsuke and Inro.

Red cut to clear Victorian scent bottle with gold tone hinged cap. Fits beautifully in a lady's hand, it measures 3.5 inches high.

Pair of wonderful cotton knit striped socks the heal hand worked. The colors and mustard yellow, blue and white stripes. Some of the hand sewing in the heal is lose or is partly out. No holes and I doubt they have been worn much at all. 28" long and circa 1880

A fine multicolored velvet ikat from Uzbekistan, carefully mounted on acid free fabric. The condition is quite fine with one very small area with some thread separation, and the sight size is 20 1/2" by 15 1/2".

A beautiful, hand-painted art glass vase, made probably by either Moser or Mont Joye. The vase is 10 1/4 inches (26 cm) tall and 4 1/2 inches (11,5 cm) wide at the bottom. It is in good condition (age-appropriate gilt loss), without chips, cracks or repairs. The vase is ribbed and has bubbles inside, typical of old glass items. The vase fluoresces a gentle-green when subjected to long-wavelength black-light - typical of 19th century or early 20th century soda-lime glass objects...

19th century boxwood netsuke of Okame holding a setsubun bean box in one hand and throwing beans with the other. Setsubun is performed during the New Year by throwing beans around the house to exorcise the evil spirits. Excellent carving with wonderful face and beautifully incised textile pattern of pine saplings, expert staining, beautiful mellow patina. Signed HIROTSUGU on the back - the artist is listed on p. 469 of NETSUKE & INRO ARTISTS AND HOW TO READ THEIR SIGNATURES by George Lazarnick...

A beautiful, tall, hand-painted pokal, made probably by Fritz Heckert or Joseph Ahne. The pokal depicts a lady-rider on a horse. The pokal (or covered jar) is 18 1/4 inches (46,5 cm) tall and 5 inches (12,5 cm) wide at the bottom. The pokal is made on ribbed glass...

Three perfume bottles: a green and white opaline overlay, cut and gilt bottle, an English white opaline and painted bottle and a brown clear glass bottle, cut and decorated in gilt. All three late 19th century, the first and last probably Bohemian. Height "3 ½ - 5 ¼ / 9 – 13 cm. No stoppers. Condition of all three: fine.

19th century wooden netsuke representing a theater mask of a man with round bulging eyes and rather insane grin. Probably the mask is that of Kentoku. Crisp detailing, wonderfully captured madness. Height 1 3/4 inches.
