'Nara picture') as the Japanese traditional popular illustrations for the use of scrolls and books painted by 'Ebusshi' (Painters who specializes in Buddhist art) belonging to the large temples in Nara area through the late Muromachi - Edo period. This porcelain coffee cup and saucer was produced in England by Worcester between 1755 and 1783. It is a First Period product under the ownership of Dr. Wall. It has the open crescent mark. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/4 inches and it is 1 1/8 inches deep. The cup is 2 1/2 inches high with a diameter of 2 1/2 inches at the opening. The porcelain body of both pieces is fluted with scalloped edges. There are cobalt blue borders...

A Thai Benjarong stemmed dish, redware, 18th century. Decoration in green, yellow, white and pink. The rim of barbed shape, stem and dish apparently joined together by a charred piece of clay. Height “2 ¼ /6 cm, diameter “6/15 cm. Condition: chips to rim and general rubbing to the decoration.

American Federal period mahogany lolling chair. Sparse, fine line inlay decoration. Late 18th century. Good condition. Seat height a little low from wear to legs. Seat height about 15 inches. Back height about 40 inches. Width roughly 24 inches.

Early federal period (circa 1790) carved mahogany lift-top men's dressing table from Salem, Massachusetts.

A classical mahogany card table. Hepplewhite manner square tapered legs and wood inlaid fine lines and decoration. Probably American Federal and likely mid Atlantic to Southern. Acquired in Virginia. Ca 1800. Good, conserved condition. Height 28 inches, width 35 inches, depth 17 3/4 inches.

A rare Worcester porcelain coffee can, tapering slightly toward the base and molded with corrugated ribs above a finely scalloped foot, the lobed rim with a slight flare, and the double scroll handle with a pointed thumbrest. Painted in the Chinese style with flowering plants, the border with half-flowerheads linked by a red line above leafy tendrils.

Excellent condition with vibrant colors, no chips, cracks, or restoration...

SOLD A Worcester mug with flared sides decorated in transfer printed underglaze blue of sprigs of natural flowers. Although it is unmarked the transfer on one side is identical to the one shown on the side of a Worcester marked jug shown in plate 282 of Godden’s Caughley and Worcester Porcelains 1775-1800. The transfers are well printed. 3 ¾ inches (9.5 cm) tall and a little more in diameter across the handle.

Condition: No chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. Minor firing flaws...

A pair of extra large and heavy keys, dating 17th.-18th. century.

The keys with large oval bows, long stems, absence of collars and very peculiar bits. For very large locks.

A Chinese mini Scholar’s censer, Ming period, can be a Song period White ware or Dehua

This an unique and rare ge ware but enamelled to become famille rose type with flora and butterfly design, it is from early Qing probably YongCheng-Qianlong period's scholar brushwasher, it is in good condition, some enamel peeling of, but there is no crack, chip or repair, Size 17cm in diameter, please feel free to enquire for more photos..Thanks

A New Hall Silver Shaped Teapot with Matching Under Tray and Floral Decorations, Dating from 1780-1800. Similar Teapots are in Museum Collections (documentation included). In excellent condition. Dimensions; teapot, 9.5" x 5" x 6.5"; stand, 8" x 7".

An Oude Loosdrecht plate with a modest bouquet of hand painted flowers in the center of the well, sprigs of flowers here and there, a molded lip with the molding picked out in blue and a gilt edge. Marked on the bottom with the initials M.O.L. with a star and incised with a star, letters and numbers. 9 ¾ inches (24.8 cm) diameter.

Condition: the most serious damage is a visible chip on the rim. There is also a tiny one below the rim...

An Oude Loosdrecht porcelain soup plate with an off-center bouquet in the bowl, scattered flowers and a molded lip picked out in blue. The gilt rim is slightly shaped. Marked on the bottom in underglaze blue with the initials M.O.L. and incised with numbers, letters and a star. 9 ½ inches (24 cm) diameter.

Condition: A fairly substantial chip to the rim on one side and a small under the rim chip on the other. Stack wear, especially around the border between the lip and the bowl...

Late 18th century netsuke of Rihaku seated leaning on a large wine jar with one hand and holding a wine cup in the other. Rihaku (Li Po in Chinese) was a celebrated, probably the most famous poet of China equally renown for his love of wine. Strong early carving, wonderful face and detailing of his clothes, of typical early triangular section. Wonderful feel of age, excellent patina. Height 1 1/8 inches.

Royal Copenhagen dish from the first half of the 19 century...

This porcelain plate was produced in England by Worcester around 1770. We have seen other pieces of Worcester in this pattern and although there is no marking, we believe it is Worcester. The diameter of the plate is 9 inches. The plate is rather deep. The border is colored with olive green enamel. The interior of the plate has hand painted flowers cascading across it.
