A classic 19th century French silver tastevin of traditional form and the bottom inset with a silver coin from the reign of Louis XV. The sides of the tastevin are decorated with the traditional raised "perles" and recessed "cupules" for viewing the depth of color in a wine. The coin, dating to 1726, depicts the profile of the king surrounded by the legend "Louis XV, by grace of God, king of France and Navarre." The reverse of the coin can be seen from the bottom of the tastevin...

A Pair of Silver Open Salts with a clear glass liner; from Germany (Augsburg?), dating from the late 19th century. An open work design features a mythological figure of a bird/animal. The dimensions are 3.5" x 1.5" x 2.5" high. There is one original spoon with the set.

An elegant set of 12 sterling silver oyster forks in Dominick & Haff’s desirable 1880 “Kings” pattern. The handles are decorated in the Georgian style with scroll, acanthus and shell motifs. The backs are decorated to match the fronts. The tines are heavier than most cocktail/seafood forks. The backs are stamped with Dominick & Haff’s hallmark.

A Qing Celadon Censer. Diameter approximately 14.2 cm and height approximately 10 cm. Decorated with flowers, curve lines and covered with bluish green color. There is a chip at the base and 2(two) spots at the body. Good condition.

A very rare set of six sterling silver demitasse spoons in the "Holly & Mistletoe" pattern by Tiffany & Co. This is a more ornate variant of the company's more common "Holly" pattern. The handles are decorated on both sides with holly and mistletoe foliage and mistletoe berries. The elongated bowls have notched shoulders and are parcel-gilt. The spoons are fully hallmarked and have the date letter used 1873-91...

Unique Footed Silver (800) "Repousse" German Silver Sauce Boat. Elegant Scenes on Both Sides. One End Shaped into a Curved Handle as Part of the Body; Circa 1870-1890. Weight 4.7 Troy ounces; Dimensions 5" wide x 3.5" high. Excellent condition. Note that the details are crisper than in the photos.

This hand made 19th century Chinese sterling silver cart is 2 ¾ inches long, 1 ¼ inches wide and 2 inches high. It depicts a man with a straw hat pulling a two wheel cart. A business man is sitting on the cart. It has “LC & CO” and “Mian An, Lian Zhang” (in Chinese) stamped on the back of the cart. It has nice patina and is in excellent condition.

Found in the Philippines. This plate features an underglaze motif in animal form with a Chinese character in the center. Measurements: diameter is 17cm (across). Condition: there is some fritting around the edges but overall in excellent condition. Photos by: The Oriental Room®️

Bears the Markings for "Hunt and Roskell" late "Storr & Mortimer", the Successor Firm to Paul Storr. John Samuel Hunt was Paul Storr's Nephew by Marriage. A fine early 19th century silver tastevin in the 17th century Burgundian style, inset with a Louis XIV silver ecu coin. The coin is surrounded by a “couronne” of 27 perles from which extend elongated “godrons”. These elongated grooves, without any corresponding circular grooves typically meant the tastevin was intended for use only with white wines. The godrons are further enhanced with small bunches of grapes...

A very nice Imperial Russian enameled silver spoon by Gustav Klingert. The bowl is beautifully decorated in five shades of opaque cloisonné enamels and in translucent red and amethyst. The design I modified floral pattern with a Persian-style reserve. The handle is finished in a fish-scale enameled pattern. Exposed areas of silver are stippled and gilt. The interior of the bowl is engraved “Moscow”, indicating that the spoon was sold as a souvenir to an American or English visitor...

A very attractive late 19th century first standard (950/1000 pure silver) wine taster by Parisian silversmith Louis Coignet. The tastevin is decorated in the Bourgogne style with an applied handle in snake form. The serpent is beautifully decorated with engraved scales and eyes. The sides are enhanced with repousse and chased decoration of grape clusters and vine leaves. This example is classic form, but has a very steep convex bottom and no “godrons” or “perles” along the sides...
