This porcelain coffee cup and saucer was produced in England by Worcester around 1790. The set is unmarked but the pattern is unmistakably from the Chamberlain Period. The saucer has a diameter of 5 inches and is 11/4 inches deep. The cup is 2 1/2 inches high and the opening has a diameter of 2 1/8 inches. The set is decorated in a chinoiserie style. The simplistic landscape is dotted with pagodas and figures hunting game. The design is delightful...

This porcelain dish was produced in France in the late 19th century. It has an underglaze mark that says Limoges, France but there is no factory name. The dish was evidently sold undecorated to an amateur artist who painted it. The dish has cut out handles on the sides. It is 8 1/4 inches across the handles. The roses are painted with delicacy. You have buds to full blown blooms in pink and rose. The dish is trimmed with gilding. Condition: Excellent

Relics of the Nile is pleased to present this outstanding and well-wrapped ancient Egyptian mummy. This mummy features fine wrapping with an outer shroud surrounding the ibis within. This is in the style found in similar offerings to the god Thoth and dates to the Ptolemaic period, ca. 350 B.C.. This is a rare mummy and is an excellent example of an ibis mummy. The mummy was originally part of the Wallace N. Stearns collection and was part of the MacMurray College collection in Missouri.

Art Nouveau sterling silver picture frame. Made by William B. Kerr in Newark. Rectangular with beveled and acid-etched sides: Wraparound reading entwined with fluid foliate scrollwork. Shaped cartouche (vacant). With glass, silk lining, and velvet back and hinged support. Hallmark includes no. 4846. Very good condition.

A very attractive and fine condition gilt Laten spoon, English c. 1600.

Acorn top and having a wire ‘gulley’ down the flat and bevelled tapering stem and a round touchmark in the oval bowl with three crossed keys for London and the letters of the maker.

A small, arresting late 19th Century Japanese bronze sculpture of Yamauba, breast feeding Kintaro. The mythology is Kintaro was left is the forest by his father to save him from his enemies. He was found by Yamauba, the forest goddess, who nursed him to grow to become the Hercules of Japan. This charming bronze has wonderful detail. 4 inches (10cm) high x 3.25 inches (8.5cm) wide.

Greek perfume vessel of cylindrical body tapering at the neck with flat everted rim and a faint ridge around the shoulder. Small depression below the rounded base; polished surface.
Alabastra would have held scented oil and, based on paintings on pottery, were frequently owned by women for use after bathing.

This is one of the finest Columbia River Gem Points known to exist. It may be the finest Gunther Barbed/Rogue River ever found. It is the largest example I have ever seen. It is a huge 2 3/4" long. It is made from the finest quality translucent moonstone white agate. It has beautiful patina. The tip and barbs are perfect, not even a spider bite anywhere on the piece. It is a G-10+. Japanese merchants chest known as a gyoshu baku. Made of 100% sugi (Japanese Cypress) wood. Hand forged iron hardware. Single hinged with latching door. Tucked inside are seven drawers. Gyohu bakus are meant to be worn on the backpack for ease of transport and organized storage.

19th century Chinese small carved boxwood architectural panel depicting a Chinese scholar with 3 attendants among pavilions and trees. Must have been part of an altar piece. Wonderful quality carving with piercing and deep undercutting, rich detailing (see several Fungus of Immortality), very pleasant wear and patina. Size 2 3/8 x 4 7/8 x 9/16 inches.
