This well balanced and sleek appearing club sports a straight hickory shaft and a nice leather grip. Deep checkering lines adorn the face and a well struck "D. CUTHBERT - SPECIAL" stamp is seen on the top.
The condition is very good with the expected small dings, scratches and wear of a club that is over 100 years old...

having a gold-filled knob handle with foliate repousse decoration, marked Sterling, raised on a hardwood shaft ending in a steel ferrule.
Diameter of handle 1 1/2 x length overall 38 inches.
Kaji-banten worn by a fireman (fire-fighter) with all hand-stitched sashiko. It has katazome (stencil-resist-dye) "gissha", wheels of a cow carriage motif. It has rather rare green lining. In excellent condition except for some wear and rips in the lower front.

Antique Japanese door with beautiful painting of two beautiful geisha. One holds a black and gold lacquer tray while the other kneels beside her. Flecks of gold accent the space surrounding the painting. The backside of the door has a monochromatic painting of waterside scenery. Meiji age (1868-1912)

A nice lot of 6 stamp seals in various stones, mainly scaraboid seals from the Middle-Assyrian period, c. 1500-1100 BC.
Lot also includes a nice larger Sasanian stamp seal, but with repaired crack.

Nice early blue and white cotton homespun handkerchief that has been used and loved and survived pretty well considering it is about 200 years old. It is a strong medium weight cotton with a nice sky blue dye giving nice contrast to the white. Two sides had overcast stitches but one side has lost the stitches giving it frayed appearance and the other two sides are hemmed. The initials are SGS. It has one tiny little discoloration spot...
