Fine Kartika ceremonial knife, Himalayan c. 19th. Century.

The knife with a vajra handle and skull below - in brass and an iron blade. Attractive with much wear from use, but probably not older than 19th. century.

Condition: Choice Very fine, nice warm patina.

A very finely carved late- to Neo-Assyrian red stone cylinder seal, depicting a human headed, winged demon with Scorpios tail and a large Bull. In between them a tree and above star and crescent.

Interesting and beautiful composition, probably depicting Pazuzu. Beautiful jasper -like stone, quite hard.

A beautiful high quality early Mesopotamian cylinder seal, Isin Larsa period, (c. 2025 BC – c. 1763 BC).

The haematite cylinder seal showing the introduction to God with a worshipper, a deity and the prince in Syrian clothing, in between a bull standing on it's hind legs. To be researched! Size: 20-21 mm. tall and 11 mm. wide.

Condition: About Extremely fine. Not much wear and quite sharp for type.

A very elaborate and finely gilt large figure of mahasthamaprapta bodhisattva, Chinese, later Qing Dynasty, 1644-1912, this figure probably from the late 19th. cent.

Size: 34,5 cm. tall, incl. the flat mounted base.

Condition: Extremely fine for type and age. Finely patinated in a redish gold colour with some light wear but othervise completely intact, the blue pigment still present as well. Closed lid in the back...

Rare image of a Qilin Chinese "unicorn" with stunning deep aquamarine Qingbai glaze. This is a fragment of a much larger piece, possibly a finial off a censer. H: 9.5cm/3.9in, W: 7cm/2.8in x 4.5cm/1.8in. The sculpture is in excellent condition, there is a film of hardpacked soil in the crevices which can be (see enlargements), this can be removed with a small blade with a bit of effort, soaking it in water for a week or so will help. I am leaving it on as it speaks to the age of this piece...

Inside the box are four compartments with their lids, also decorated with silver inserts showing stylised flowers. Philippines archipelago, Mindanao island, early 19th century. A very large porcelain basin decorated with gold and red fish among green, gold and red flora by Miyagawa (Makuzu) Kozan enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Gosu-Aka-e Sakana no Zu Hira Bachi. Inside the box bears the Teishitsu Gigein seal, followed by an annotation denoting the artist age at 75 years old. After a long verse which also appears to be by the hand of Kozan it is dated 5th day, 5th month of Taisho 6 (1917). It is 38 cm (15 inches) diameter and in excellent condition...

Pair of pottery fragments including a head with torso from the La Tolita culture, c. 200 BC-300 AD. and a very interesting head, that wears a mask that looks like a divers mask or an astronauts mask. Closely fitted over the eyes and nose. Peculiar!

Superb covered incense box entirely gold lacquered with decoration of bamboo leaves and wisteria in a lake environment and on a base of nashiji gold powder. The 2 parts of the box are surrounded by shibuishi (silver and copper alloy). Edo period 18/19th century. Diameter 6cm x Height 3,5cm.
