A Japanese lacquer inro depicting two fish swimming in their natural habitat. The outer surface of the ring is covered in lacquer with brown nuances, which offers an elegant contrast with the mother-of-pearl. This inro depicts a mother-of-pearl sole on one side. A hibachi contructed into the form of a table known as Edo Naga-hibachi. These hibachis were often seen in the daily life of the Japanese since the late Edo period. The hibachi contains two drawers often used to store tobacco accessories and items to maintain the fire.

Nice 6” plate in the “Horse Chestnut” pattern by Dedham Pottery. The crackling is very even and the blue has medium intensity. The back has both the ink stamp and the incised rabbit mark.

This set of 8 porcelain plates was produced in England by Minton in 1863. The name Minton is impressed with date ciphers indicating this year. The plates measure 9 ½ inches in diameter. They are made of fine, white bone china. The reticulated borders around the plates are 1 ¾ wide. They are outlined in heavy celeste blue enamel known as French enamel. There are 3 cartouches in the borders containing colorful sprays of hand painted flowers...

Edo period Japanese lacquered leather covered munitions box for gun powder. The leather hinged top has a gilt edge, on center is a copper metal clasp closure, and an iron chain handle. Double stamped in red lacquer with the Omodaka mon, which belongs to the Mizuno family clan. The box is in good condition.

Two very rare foo dogs that served as joss stick holders, done in the famille jaune palette. These date to the pre-1891. They are in very good antique condition, save some minimal lost of enamel glaze and a short hairline on the backside of the holder of one of the foo dogs which is clearly pictured, this can be easily restored...

Pair of Rare Famille Rose plates attractively decorated with Twin Boys. C1735/45. Dia.8 3/4" (22.3cm). Condition: first plate with some flaking to enamels and 0.35cm shallow flake to underside of rim. Second plate with 3.2 cm hairline crack to rim and 0.5cm bruise to underside of rim.

These tall, slender offering jars with lids are well-potted and molded with dignitaries, dragons and horses, and covered with a thin bluish-toned clear glaze. The bluish areas are apparent where the glaze has pooled around the molded figures. The lids are likewise glazed and finished with a simple stylized swirl of clay. The clay body is white and a bit sugary in texture. There are orange areas of staining from burial...
