A six characters "Daqing Guanxu Nianzhi" seal mark is inscribed on the shoulder, and of the period. Condition: losses; minor kiln faults. 19th century ichii (yew wood) netsuke of a theatrical mask of an oni - a mischievous demon. Cleverly carved in ittobori (one-cut) style characteristic of Hida school, wonderful depiction of its bushy eyebrows and toothy grin. Wonderful patina and beautiful sheen to the surface. Signed SUKEYOSHI on the back bar - the artist is listed on p. 1051 of NETSUKE & INRO ARTISTS AND HOW TO READ THEIR SIGNATURES by George Lazarnick, and was a student of Sukenaga. Height 1 9/16 inches.

The rare Gold Buddha is know as Bhumisparsa, the mudra of witness (earth touching). The hand with the palm turned inward and all the fingers extended downward touching the singhasana (pedestal supported by a lion)
The gesture of touching the earth or calling the earth to witness commemorating Buddha's victory over temptation by the demon Mara.

design of two large central diamond medallions flanked by Heriz style medallions, surrounded by angular and geometric floral motifs, in hues of rust, indigo, bright green and yellow.

Chinese pair of fu dog temple guardians, carved hardwood with old remnants of blue, red, and white pigments. Each fu dog is formed with intricate detail and expression, one with a pearl in its partially open mouth. Mounted on steel plates for museum quality presentation.

A fine sweetmeat with a double ogee bowl with a slightly everted rim. The bowl is atop a bladed knop, below which is a hollow 8 sided molded pedestal stem. At the bottom of the stem are 4 merises above a nicely domed and folded foot.
The glass is in overall excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or restoration. There is a small (1/4" by 1/8") manufacturing flaw in the side of the bowl, shown in extreme closeup in the 4th photo. The flaw can be seen and felt on both sides, but in not broken...
A group of 5 Victorian hand etched cordial liquer or wine glasses. Dating to the mid-to-late 19th century, these 4-7/8" tall glasses were hand made from three pieces (bowl, foot and stem) which was typical of the era. They are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, damage or repairs. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use...

A large porcelain barbed bowl decorated with flowers, birds, fingered citrons, bamboo and other motifs with famille rose enamel and gilt in Imary style. 18th century, Kangxi period. Condition: glaze scratches, enamel and gilt losings; rim glaze bursts as commonly seen on Kangxi wares, plus a few small glaze chips on the rim and one very short kiln crack.
