A Japanese bulbous shaped bronze censer on four supports. There is a rectangular, three characters mark on the bottom - "Cast by Suiun". 19th Century. This is a beautiful large Cloisonne vase from Japan. Besides the wire and wireless designs in the bamboo and rooster, the color of the ground color changes from top down to the bottom. The vase stands 12 inches tall and is not quite 6 inches wide. It has on minor flaw that could be factory and it is shown in the last image. It is an odd short line, that is difficult to see in the enamel under the bamboo leaves. A great piece that was probably made by Gonda or Ando.

This is a fine cloisonne enamel vase from the Meiji Period. Though more simplistic than many of his pieces, We believe this was vase made by Hayashi. I There are plenty of image and viewer can make up their own mind. The birds are well done and each is designed with gold wires. The difficult scroll under the top rim is also similar to Hayashi's work. The vase stands 6 inches tall and condition is excellent.

A pair Chinese silver spill vases made for the Western export or used in the Chinese market as incense stick holders. Decorated with prunus twigs, standing on three splayed feet with original clear glass inserts. Base with maker's mark "WH90", standing for the Wang Hing Company, working in Shanghai and Hong Kong around 1900. Condition: fine, few traces of usage, one insert seems to be a bit too long. Dimension: c. 11.6 cm high, weight of silver: 90 g.

A large beautiful and rare pair of colorfully glazed peacocks which were Vietnamese temple birds. The glaze is still vibrant and the sculpturing is very finely executed. Age: Mid 19th century. Size: H. 56cm - 54.2cm. W. 36cm - 36cm. Condition: Very good. Some very minor chips and hairline crack on one wing. See photos.

An oval box made of white brass (baitong). The top lid incised with banana leaves, chrysanthemum and bamboo. The inside of the lid with an abrasive surface for grinding ink. With copper lining and base. Dimension: 7.6 cm x 5.8 cm x 2.6 cm. Condition: traces of use, top lid with spot and some wear.

Japanese Kutani Porcelain Cup and Saucer, Ca. 1910, Meiji Period, 4 7/8" diameter-saucer, 1 7/8" high, 3 7/8" wide include handle-cup, very detailed design of Japanese garden and bird flying over in Orange and Gold on white background, highlighted with brilliant gold on orange background design. Artist or Studio signature with very stylish script in gold on the bottom. The condition is good.

Large lustre-glazed faience or majolica dish by Alfredo Santarelli in Gualdo Tadino, Deruta, Italy. Santarelli (1874-1957) took his inspiration from near-by Urbino, the birth-place of the most exquisite 16th century Renaissance maiolica. Mixing this with Hispano-Moresque lustre glaze effects he created his highly decorative Neo-Renaissance / Istoriato pieces. Early monogrammed AS signature, c 1910.
