A Very Rare and Large Korean Wood Carved Wedding Goose (Kirogi)-19th C.: Korea, Joseon dynasty, 19th century. A folky carved wood goose, kirogi, wedding goose, for a wedding ceremonial event, painted in polychrome pigments, white, light brownish red, green, blue and black, and carved details of the wing feathers and eyes, It’s in excellent condition with pigment colors with a rich and old dark patina of the surface of the wood. It measures 40cm L. x 25.4cm H. (15 ¾” x 10”)...

Antique Japanese rare two-section isho tansu (clothing chest) with a very interesting burl wood front, and lacquered sides. Each of its very large drawers has its own custom incised lockplate with imagery of cherry blossoms, bamboo, cranes, and other auspicious elements. Beautiful two-section keyaki (zelkova) tansu with a gorgeous, glowing honey lacquered front and red lacquered top and sides. Its features include large, decorative iron lockplates incised with auspicious symbols, warabite handles with pierced backplates, a lockbox that is, interestingly, on the top section rather than the bottom, with three red-lacquered drawers inside. Very charming Japanese choba tansu (merchant's chest) made from very beautiful keyaki (zelkova) wood, horizontal slats on its sides, decorative iron hardware including diamond shaped handles with incised scrolling vines, hirute drawer handles, and a cloud-shaped lockplate for a small hinged door with three small drawers inside. Dates from the Meiji period (1868-1912). Original Condition Size: 30" height, 25.75" width, 13.25" depth

Antique Japanese cast iron sake kettle (choshi) with brass lid, its sides decorated with scenes of nature, standing on three very short legs. Size: 7.5" height, 8.5" length

Antique Japanese iron tetsubin (tea kettle) decorated by raised flat areas of gaming tiles with engraved kanji, signed with artist's cartouche below the spout. Handle with figural pattern on body. Very nice patina inside and on the bottom where flames once heated it to make tea. Size: 8.25" height, 7.5" width

Antique Chinese pair of dark green jade vases, with dark and light flecking throughout, allover incised spiraling designs with leaves, four squared panels, each with stylized carvings of vegetation with rock formations that are transparent when viewed from the inside of the vase. Antique Japanese rare fune bako (ship safe box) with interesting large, heavy iron warabite handles on its front and backside, front lockplate with flower shaped iron knob and hinged locking pin. Lid is completely removable and has short inscription inside. Meiji period (1868-1912) Original Beautiful Condition. Size: 6.25" height, 6.25" width, 17.25" length

A late 19th or early 20th Century porcelain snuff bottle, painted in shades of underglaze blue and pale olive green, depicting a lady and three boys in an interior or enclosed garden setting. The green hardstone stopper is probably jade and the spatula is finely carved ivory. Condition: there are many small burst production glaze bubbles: no chips or cracks and there has been no restoration. 7.5cm ( 3 inches) high (without stopper).

The most common type of air twist found in mid-18th century English glasses is the multiple spiral air twist (MSAT). Double series air twists are occasionally found, but triple series twists are incredibly rare, with very few still in existence. This particular example has an ogee bowl leading into a stem with a central air core surrounded by a two ply heavy thread which is in turn surrounded by a three ply heavy thread...

Japanese red cloisonne vase with imagery of purple grapes and multicolored pastel leaves on vines and two small, plump birds. The interior of the vase is a robin's egg blue crackle. Size: 14.25" height, 6" width

One-of-a-kind!!! This is an item sui generis. A yellow glazed Raku chawan, dating from the Meiji Period (ca. 120 years old) with its original signed wood box.

The chawan is in superb condition with no chips or cracks. Around the bowl are carved chinese characters. The tea bowl is very solid and fits perfectly into the palm of the hands. Great chawan!
