Chinese Famille Jaune Porcelain shape Jar, 8" high, 8 1/4" wide-widest middle section, 3 1/2" diameter-top rim, 6 1/2" diameter-bottom, Ca. 1920, with overglaze decoration of Chinese Happiness Characters with two(2) bats inside four(4) round Cartouches surrounded by sprays of pink Peony flowers. Chinese Export wax seal is placed on the bottom, some glaze crazing inside the jar, and minor wears caused by many years of usage in the kitchen.

Pair of early 19th century Staffordshire mirror image figurines of a girl riding a goat. The coloring is excellent featuring vibrant cobalt blue coats. There is with some crazing which is good. There is a section of the "spaghetti" on one goat's tail that is missing and it appears to be a manufacturing flaw, see 2nd photo. There is also a very small chip or flaw to the hem of one skirt...

A Victorian silver plate rolltop butter dish or server in the Aesthetic style from the 1880s. This antique beauty was made by Meriden and it has all of the hallmarks of quality and Victorian style and mechanical complexity. Incredible Japanese highly bronze figure of three playful puppies. One falling onto his back, another laying in the middle and the last one climbing over him. They are all very finely detailed. The artist's signature on the bottom of the middle puppy. Very well done with exquisite detail.

The bottom portion is very unusual because the right door opens on a hinge while the left door slides on a track revealing four small drawers also lined in silver rice paper...

This cloth doll has very dear oil painted face with great soft blue eyes. She has leather hands that could be original by the way they are put on. (I bet some mother was proud of herself for thinking of using old children's gloves for unique hands!) She has the body form, like so many cloth dolls, that looks like they were meant to ride a horse. The stance gives her the look of authority. She is cotton stuffed rather firmly and because she is not jointed she is pretty much a standing doll...

This is a finely carved 19th century Japanese Netsuke depicting a Standing Samurai, wearing a typical caped robe, who is holding a box with both hands. Stained for effect; rich patina. Unsigned. Netsuke measures 0.76 inches (2.0cm), and 1.47 inches (3.8cm) tall. Netsuke is in excellent condition, as may be seen in the posted photos.

This is a finely hand-carved 19th century Japanese Netsuke depicting a Karako wearing his typical Chinese robe, who is carrying his little brother on his shoulders. Younger karako's hair puffs inlaid with darn horn. Rich patina. Unsigned. Netsuke measures 0.82 inches (2.1cm) wide, and 1.72 inches (4.4cm). Netsuke is in excellent condition, as may be seen in the posted photos.

This is a finely carved Mid 19th Century Japanese Netsuke depicting two seated Karakos who are back to back to each other; one playing the Flute, and the other wearing a Shishimai mask. Wonderful rich patina. Unsigned. Netsuke measures 1.23 inches (3.1cm) and 1.25 inches (3.2cm). Netsuke is in excellent condition, as may be seen in the posted photos.

An Early Japanese Bronze Mirror, Kagami, Circa 1600. (No.1) This bronze mirror (kagami) was almost certainly made in the Momoyama period. It has a turtle (minogame) as a central boss, pierced for a cord. It also features a pair of cranes, their beaks touching the head of the turtle as in the act of kissing. This beneath a splendid pine tree. Under the turtle is found the inscription 'Tenjō' (?) possibly meaning Heaven.

The molds include a well defined rosette, a seated figure, scepter, collar element, figure of Bes, a scarab and an ankh. Each mold looks to have been used with remains of faience paste inside. The molds range in size from 7/8" to 1" in length...

A very nice 19th C. doll with embroidered face, calico button eyes, a tiny cute upside down u shaped nose, yarn hair, a bit sparse and looks like a trim job by little hands and scissors. She has a body firmly stuffed with cotton. She has an hour glass figure and nicely jointed so she sits easily. Her dress is not original but fits her really nicely and she has a gathered top purse to go along with her dress and hat. She is 25" tall and is circa 1880-90. She is a bright and happy doll.

A red sandal strap crosses at the top of the foot and runs between the toes. The original dowel still exists on the back of the foot that connected it to the larger statue. A medium sized bowl quite heavily potted with an everted rim decorated in the full Imari palette sans aubergine enamels decorated with a series of auspicious motifs. The exterior of the bowl is painted in underglaze blue with a broken band of diaper to the rim, quatrefoil form reserves and Chinese fan shaped reserves. The base with an unusual border pattern of rather naively painted Chrysanthemum demi-florets. Each quatrefoil reserve containing a pussy-foot (clawless) Shishi with stylised cloud...
