A Chinese porcelain, scalloped edge, leaf shaped dish that was part of Canton pattern dinner set, exported from China to America, during the late 19th Century. The Canton pattern can be easily recognized as it shows a bridge with no man, and has a cloud border. The dish measures about 8" long x 6" wide, and 1 1/4" tall. Beautifully decorated curio cabinet with serpentine glass door, and curved glass sides. The marquetry is beautifully done, with a basket of flowers on the door, and flowers on the side and trim. There is marquetry every place that there is wood. The marquetry is highlighted by bronze trim all around it. It has cabriole legs, also with bronze trim. This lovely cabinet measures 57" tall x 30" wide x 14" deep. It is in excellent original condition...

A beautiful bronze paper weight in the form of a dog/lion. It is a very detailed casting in solid bronze with a deep brown patina. A porcelain dish from the Imari Kilns of Japan, that was made during the 19th Century. The dish is six sided with scalloped edges, has a center bouquet of vined flowers, and has border scenes of a flying dragon and temples. The plate measures about 13 1/2" in diameter x 2" high. The condition is very good with some wear to the design and on the gold covered rim. There are three very small edge frets that you can feel, but are too small to show in a picture...

A Chinese robin's egg ceramic brush washer, with a rounded body tapering to the flat, unglazed foot, the round wide opening shows the interior is all glazed in robin's egg glaze. The sides are in the classic mottled turquoise and purple glaze with stipple texture from the time of firing. The robin's egg glaze technique requires low-firing and uses two different colors of mottled purple-blue and turquoise. Period 18th centnury.

A wonderful woman's wedding hip wrapper made of cotton with wax resist dyed decoration and gilding. The kepala is showing a peacock on a tree, the badan with two long-tailed birds among flowers. Condition: amazingly good state of the gilding, the left and right edge with some tears and few holes. The badan with a small angled tear. Maybe shortened. Dimension: c. 101.5 cm x 174 cm.

A rare and very finely enamelled 18th Century Wucai Dragon and Phoenix Bowl - Qianlong mark and of the period (1736-1795).

Condition - there are three rim chips, three long hairline cracks and one short under the glaze hairline (please view enlargements); there has been no restoration...

During the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1897), ceramics were considered to represent the highest quality of achievement from royal, city, and provincial kilns, the last of which were export-driven wares. Joseon enjoyed a long period of growth and production, which is still preserved today.

Wares evolved along Chinese lines in terms of color, shape, and technique. Celadon, white porcelain, and storage pottery were similar, but with certain variation in glazes, incision designs, and weight...

A Tibetan bronze ceremonial bell, with a gilt vajra shaped handled, finely cast with the image of a bodhisattva's head, the top of the bell with low-relief Sanskrit characters on lotus petals, small vajra pattern along the fluted edges of the bell, and an inner lotus petal design with signature inside the bell where the clapper hangs.

Antique Chinese pair of porcelain hat stands, glazed with a light orange ground, enamel motifs of various flowers including peony, chrysanthemum, birds, insects, gourd bottles, and other auspicious objects. Each stand is of a hexagonal form with pierced melon shaped areas. The feet are slightly recessed with white underglaze and buff edges.

Chinese altar fruit offering in Blanc de Chine. The peach has a tendril like stem and three leaves. The base is left unglazed with a single ventilation hole to prevent it from exploding or cracking during firing.

Japanese 2 panel byobu screen painting on silk, of a male and female deer resting below a maple tree. Each panel is bordered in gold leaf and signed "Kagayama Hakuho" with a red chop.

Kagayama Hakuho (1880-?) was born in the Okayama Prefecture Japan. His studies continued under Takeuchi Seiho in Kyoto, and later moved to Kobe for his work. Works by Hakuho have been displayed at the Kyoto City University of Art.

Two matching small Imari dishes with high quality applied decoration, including the "three gentlemen" at the center of each dish (pine, bamboo, and plum blossom). A beautifully shaped cloisonné enamel incense burner with roundels containing flowers or butterflies amidst spiral shaped wire ground. Gilt wires, rim and base. Condition: fine, partial little wear to gilding. Dimension: c. 12.3 cm high.

Small Shiva lingam carved on black stone, with four deities heads in relief around the lingam. The object is eroded with age, and encrusted with remnants of ritual substances, but the decoration is still visible. Nepal, 15th century or earlier. Height: 6.5 cm. Length: 8 cm. Good condition.

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Chelsea between 1756 and 1769. It has a gold anchor painted over the glaze. There are many copies of the gold anchor mark used through the decades but we guarantee that this cup and saucer is authentic. The saucer has a diameter of 4 5/8 inches and the cup is 2 1/2 inches high. The ground color is burgundy. Reserves of hand painted flowers decorate both pieces.
