A pair of English heavy crystal sterling silver topped liquor decanters dated 1963. These 7-1/4" tall decanters have fancy round stoppers giving a total height of 9-1/4". Tall, organic form sculpture by Luciano Gaspari for Salviati & Co.. The sculpture is formed of three joined irregular disks, with richly varied surface textures and folds. A large clear yellow disk is supported by two light smoke-gray disks (one disk has a slight bluish tinge that the other does not), the whole rising out of a dark smoke-gray block. The glass, being hand worked contains some bubbles, but are not considered flaws and add to the organic nature of the sculpture...
