Sold. Very Desirable Sterling Silver Letter Opener made by the Watson Company of nearby Attleboro Massachusetts with c 1910 hallmarks. Just think, at this time only about 1/3 of college students were women and only approx 5% were physicians! What New England college bound young lady of that era received this as a gift? Weighs 1/2 ounce on a postal scale. 5 1/2" X 7/16" wide. Very nice condition for age.

Coin silver table spoon by Frederick Marquand in the fiddle and thread pattern. Circa 1820s. Frederick Marquand worked in Savannah, Georgia and in New York City. From 1820-1826 he worked in Savannah and then relocated to NYC . It is likely that this spoon was manufactured during his time in Savannah. Size: 8 3/4 inches length. 2.85 troy ounces. Engraved on handle with script initial 'F.' Excellent condition with no dings or wear to the bowl. Hallmarks are crisp and legible.

This 9-3/8" long server has a sterling silver handle and a silver plated blade; it is stamped STERLING on the handle but we've been unable to identify the pattern or maker. A set for 12 mother of pearl handle silver plated fish knives and forks from the 1897-1900 era. This 24 piece set consists of the 7-7/8" fish knives and the 6-3/4" forks. Each piece has a mother of pearl handle with excellent lustre and green and pink flash. The ferrules are unmarked and nicely embossed (they may be silver - we haven't tested them and it wasn't required to mark small, light items)...

Table form Cigar Lighter in Sterling silver. Lighter is shaped like an ornate Aladdin's lamp. The lighter is missing it's wick holder, and has a few minor dings. The piece is hallmarked Edinburgh and has the word STERLING and the number 80. The piece measures 4 inches (10.16 cm) long, 3 inches (7.62 cm) tall and is 1 7/8 inches (4.6 cm) wide. Circa 1923.

By the London silversmith, John Keith, this ornate cream jug was made in 1853. The hallmarks are all clear, and include the silver standard, Queen Victoria, the date mark and mark of Keith. It measures 5 1/4" high and is 4 1/4" wide from tip of lip to handle. Lovely rococo repousse designs, with the base standing on four feet in the shape of hooves. There is a small bird engraved on the front, not clear in photos, and also worn. Condition is good, with some tarnish visible, and slight dents...
