A large sterling silver goblet with half ribbed cup, Sheffield, 1898, by Cleft Alexander Mawer Clark of the Alexander Clark Manufacturing Company, Sheffield, England. Size: 10.245 inches ht. Weight: 19.7 Troy ounces (including iron bar). There is a slight push-in on the base of the pedestal which produces a slight wobble. No monogram.

Measuring 7 1/4" wide, 4 1'2" high, and 5" deep, this bronze inkwell features the head of a lion or other big cat, and has applied glass eyes. The patina is dark, with lighter tones where it has been handled and rubbed. The piece is cast in three pieces, the head having a hinged lid, and is fastened to the back of the base with screws. Mid-century set of sterling salt and pepper shakers signed by Salvador Teran, one of Mexico's foremost modernist designers. I love the sense of strong upward motion the swirling silver bands hugging the shakers' main body exude as well as the cleverly crafted little screw on "plug" that secures your seasonings are safely kept in their containers. A beautiful pair of antique Sheffield Silver wine coasters circa 1850 hallmarked Padley Parkin & Co Sheffield England 1849 - 1855. Wine grape and grape leaf decoration with wood interiors. Sheffield plate, a sheet of silver is fused on to a thicker one of copper and the compound billet rolled, both metals expanding equally, become a thins sheet of copper coated with a layer of silver. About 1840 the Electroplate process superseded Sheffield Plate. Its production ceased about 1860.

Very well designed and executed Persian silver box, the lid is decorated with delicate repousse design depicting two young couple in traditional Safavid dress drinking wine and on the side exquisite foliage decoration. Large size (11 3/4"), this bronze vase has applied sterling silver irises. The finish is bronze with verde sections visible, a mottled or variegated finish often utilized on Heintz Art Metal products.
