This is a very early and unusual 990 silver and turquoise cuff bracelet by Hector Aguilar. I have never seen this piece before and have not found it pictured in any of the Mexican silver books so believe it to be quite rare. There are 6 bezel set cabachon turquoise stones framed with vertical lines that alternate with a pattern of incised wavy horizontal lines.The stones are beautiful and appear to be all original. Spectacular clear blue moonstones bezel set in the center of each square link and an ingenious clasp which is one of the moonstones that you press to open and close. A beautiful pair of long dangling sterling and amethyst earrings with their original box by Mexican silversmith Emma Melendez. These are screwback earrings with a lovely scrolling design top and hanging teardrop shaped amethyst. They measure 2" long with the top part being 1/2" wide. They are in fine original condition and signed Sterling Made in Mexico 806A. They come with their original box which says PLATERIA EMMA. Gorgeous on and a great box.

Magnificent, rare, Hector Aguilar "Tubular Drops with Curved Squares Incised Necklace" as featured on page 31 of the book SILVER MASTERS OF MEXICO by Penny Morrill. Although it is invisible, this entire necklace is strung on silver chain and secured with a push in clasp. It measures 17" end to end and the square links are 1 1/4" wide.It weighs 95 grams.
