Sublime is not an exaggerated description for the Antonio Pineda crescents and shells necklace presented here. This is the second necklace of this design I have been lucky to come upon this year and I am sure it will not stay with me too long either. Antonio's design flexibility, his ability to create magnificent jewelry in more than one styles is phenomenal and even though he is primarily known as a modernist, in our case he imaginatively navigates the waters of a more classic index...

In all these years now I have never listed an attribution to any listing. For this special old piece I am making an attribution for the first time and to SR. Guadalupe Castellanos. This figure is from the glyphs off the pyramids. This figure is also similar on other pyramids around the world. The date of manufacture could possibly be as early as 1913. It was rare to put signatures on any silver in these early days and this is marked with only STERLING and not even with Mexico. Sr...

Unadulterated commitment to minimalism - this is the statement this Antonio Pineda modernist bracelet makes. I have sold this specific design a couple of times in the past but its unpretentious beauty never fails to impress me. Wrought in the maestro's favorite .970 alloy, it has had a long, happy life and is now waiting for its next caretaker. It has a 6 3/4" inner circumference (clasped) with a width just shy of 1" wide and weighs a good 110.4 grams. It is fully and appropriately hallmarked w...
