Striking sterling necklace by Reveriano Castillo. He was among the first apprentices with William Spratling and later worked with Hector Aguilar at the Taller Borda. In 1952, he and Maria Castillo opened their own shop that they called "REVERI". This necklace is simple and elegant as typical of their style. It measures 16" end to end, is 1" wide and weighs 68 grams. Fine original condition and signed with his RC mark as shown. Feels and looks wonderful on the neck.

From the same estate as the azur- malachite bracelet by Enrique Ledesma that I am offering, this bracelet is made up of 15 panels of faceted amethyst crystal fused in silver. This is the skill for which Ledesma is best known. His work of this nature is impeccable and unmatched by other Taxco artists. This fabulous bracelet measures 8" end to end and 1" wide. Featured on page 172 of the book MEXICAN SILVER by Morrill and Berk, this is the Female Dancers Bracelet by Los Castillo, c.1940-45. Very rare and exhibiting magnificent detail, it measures 7 1/2" end to end and is 1 3/4" wide. I am unsure if the clasp is original or perhaps a replacement although it has the same patina as the bracelet. Weighing 78 grams, the bracelet is in excellent condition. Signed and numbered as shown. A Mexican silver collectors dream.

A charming chain and dangling ball sterling necklace by Horacio Parra. Horacio de le Parra was a manager in 1950 of Conquistador which was the largest silver factory in Mexico at the time. He was a friend of both William Spratling and Hector Aguilar. This piece is certainly of the same quality as their work. It measures 15" end to end and is 1" wide. Weighing 104 grams, it is in fine original condition and signed as shown. A wonderful necklace.

A very rare and early moonstone and silver bracelet by Antonio Pineda. It measures 6 1/2" around in the inside and is 3/4" wide. The stones are clear and have a blue tint and are beautiful. All original, fine condition,intact safety chain. One of the moonstones houses the clasp so looks continuous on the wrist. Signed with an early mark - Silver by Tono and the eagle. This bracelet could not be more perfect.

A wonderful Aztec design 940 silver pin with 5 balls and 5 dangles by Hector Aguilar. I have never seen this pin before and I have not found it in any books so believe it to be quite rare. It measures 1 3/4" long and 1 3/8" wide.It is in fine original condition but the safety is missing on the pin clasp so it is currently just a "C" clasp. Although it holds on clothing as it is now, it would be best to replace the safety catch to make it more secure...
