An early sterling brooch by Mexican silversmith Matilde Poulat who signed her pieces "MATL" beginning in 1934 until her death in 1960. The motifs of this pin- doves and tiny bells- are ones she used often.The doves have coral eyes and the bells have turquoise dangles. This pin measures 2" long and 1 7/8" wide. It is in fine original condition and signed for MATL in two places on the reverse. This is a wonderful and inspired early MATL piece.

I LOVE this signed Los Castillo bracelet! It has to be a Margot design while married to Antonio Castillo. The design number is an early one being #228. The almost 2 inch clasp is the crowning touch to the 7mm beads of 3 strands. Fitting nicely with a bit of a drape to the hang it has a 7.75in. wearable length. An early piece by Los Castillo, c 1940. A huge sterling pin of a flying fish with a center blue glass stone. A bracelet with this same fish pattern is featured on page 80 of the book MEXICAN SILVER by Morrill and Berk. Magnificent detail and a feeling that the fish is in motion. A Kitty's face only a Mama Cat could love! Naive engraved face Mod Silver Cat marked in back: "Coro Mex Silver". Hector Aguilar made jewelry for Coro from 1943 to 1950, less than 10 years after having worked at Spratling's Taller de las Delicias. Nice haft at .8 Oz or 23 Grams! 3" x 1.5". Heavy cast piece with normal lines that 50 year old silver gets. Except for the malachite stone at tail tip's end, it is in very nice condition.

Absolutely magnificent sterling mask brooch by Margot De Taxco. Spectacular in every way,this rare and unique Aztec design brooch measures an imposing 3 1/2" wide and 2 5/8" long. Bold and striking sterling necklace designed by Karl Gustav Hansen for Hans Hansen of Denmark. This necklace is from the "Future" line of jewelry manufactured by Hans Hansen between 1932 and 1948. Measuring 15 1/4" end to end, the links are articulated so move and flow freely. The necklace terminates with a threaded screw bolt clasp. It is 3/4" wide and weighs a substantial 137 grams. Signed as shown. A very unusual and spectacular Danish Modernist design.

Spectacular early Georg Jensen Denmark Art Nouveau sterling bracelet with coral. Lovely floral motif with gorgeous deep orange coral stones. This bracelet measures 7" long and 3/4" wide. Handwrought in the early 1940's, this trapezoid design by Spratling measures 17" long and 1" high. The panels catch and reflect light beautifully as the wearer moves about. The necklace is in excellent condition. Spratling hallmarks are found on the slide-in clasp and on one panel.

Wonderful sterling cross and rosary beads by Taxco silversmith Hector Aguilar. I believe this to be quite rare and it is pictured on page 153 of the book SILVER MASTERS OF MEXICO BY Penny Morrill. The cross is 2 3/4" long without the bail,3 1/8" with the bail. It is attached to the rosary beads which measure 15" when hanging on the neck. It does not have a clasp and slips over the head.
