Matilde Poulat was known for her reliquary silver work. She made beautiful crosses with ornate chain and statues adorned with stones. Work by Matilde Poulat from the Mexican Silver Renaissance is becoming more and more rare. This one is hallmarked Matl Mexico 925 m.reg 142093 and is without eagle. The size is medium to medium large for Matl treasures with a measurement of 4 in. across on the drop and 3.75 in. tall. The double chain is extremely desired in Matilde's work and adds a romantic touch to it's presence. Simply lovely, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

One of the rarest pieces of Margot de Taxco's enamel jewelry, the articulated mermaid brooch is not even pictured in Morrill's relevant book except as a drawing. Sharing the same design number as the "little fish" parures, she is the dedicated collector's dream-come-true. If one is very lucky and determined to find her, one might come upon an example in blues - discovering one in golden yellow, shimmering metallic sage green and sky blue is almost impossible...

Big, beautifully crafted and early as is indicated by the low design number this Deco Los Castillo silver brooch is wrought en repoussage in what seems to have been a favored motif among Mexican silversmiths and designers at the time. Fern leaves inspired rings, clamper bracelets, brooches and necklaces and of course, earrings. The design comes in variations enough to ensure that everybody will find a piece that appeals to them. A rarely coming up bracelet by Taxco's foremost modernist maestro, this Antonio Pineda treasure is wrought in silver and adorned with obsidian bars and pearls. The design can be seen in Stromberg's catalogue for Pineda's exhibition at UCLA's Fowler Museum but in necklace form and it is a pleasure to wear! Caged in bullet-shaped links the obsidian bars peer through the cut-outs, their dark power contrasting with the delicate whiteness of the pearls...

This is my favorite bracelet made by Erika Hult in the Mexican Silver Renaissance. Properly hallmarked as shown and is 6 7/8th inches long. Curves brilliantly around the wrist and has a weight of 100 grams of quality. The design has a big presence with 1.25in. of height. She studied at the Parsons School of Design in Paris as did Hubert Harmon. She signed her work with the name of RIC.

Mexico City artist Frederick Davis (1880-1961)designed this distinctive silver brooch in the 1920's. In beautiful vintage condition the pin is 2 1/4" X 2 1/4". Highly collectable, Fred Davis designs are included in permanent museum collections at MFA Boston, LACMA and others. Antonio Pineda's wave is one of his most stunning designs. The links form a deep swirl to a button top that flows from link to link. The weight is a monstrous 218 grams of silver. The thickness at the highest point is 10mm. The length is approximately 17in. of wearable length. Properly hallmarked as shown. Finding a condition of no issues of any kind is also a delight. A must have for collectors and never goes out of style.

Today I am listing the Antonio Pineda chain and toggle bracelet. The length is 8.75in. and a depth of 7/8th in. The depth takes up some of the wearable length and it is a comfortable 7in. Properly hallmarked and very difficult to get all the marks in the pictures. The crown is visible and please request more photos if needed. I believe the stones at the ends of the toggle are Chrysoprase. The bracelet is solid and has a weight of 121 grams of heft.

Margot Van Voorhies worked with enamel of the most unusual beautiful color and design. Her work is compiled in the book THE ART OF MEXICAN ENAMELWORK by Pennny C. Morrill. This one is named Noble 5404. It is so incredible with a primary green with glowing mixed colors sparking in all directions. These enamels being of vintage age pre 1970 are mostly found with loss. However this bracelet is totally without loss and original...

This is an incredible William Spratling necklace from the Mexican Silver Renaissance. Finding one of these is really a treasure due to how rare they really are but this one is even more rare due to 18kt balls in it's center and again on a thick layer of the medallion below the balls. These have been tested to 18kt. The repousse is open back and is an attribute of it's early age and the hallmarks for high silver content. One of the legendary designs in the index of vintage Mexican silver jewelry, the "armadillo" can be found with both Hector Aguilar's signature and that of Manuel Altamirano's. It has been emulated by other maestros as well, less-celebrated and anonymous, yet the most important names associated with it are definitely the first two even though it was Valentin Vidauretta who created it...

Playful and fun this detailed pair of silver cufflinks was designed and signed c.1940's by Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling. Each frog measures 3/4" long. Spratling employed frogs in many designs including bracelets, necklaces, spoons and serving pieces. The links are in beautiful condition with excellent patina and fully hallmarked.

This elegant, jewel encrusted hand mirror was designed c. 1950's by Mexico City aritist Matilde Poulat. The mirror measures 6" x 3". The outer edge of the glass is beveled. The surrounding frame is inlaid with pyramid cut amethysts and turquoise stones set into channels all in beautiful condition. We are offering a Fred Davis Shield and obsidian mask necklace with a length of 17.5in. The mask is 1.5in. by 1.5in. The lovely thing about this necklace is it's size. You can wear everyday and with anything as it is not huge like many of it's kind. Correctly hallmarked with FD and no damage to stone or silver. The weight is 50 grams and it is thick silver sheet. Exceptionally rare and collector quality, this Antonio Pineda necklace is beyond spectacular.

This design is shown on page 113 of "Silver Seduction: The Art of Mexican Modernist Antonio Pineda", by Gobi Stromberg.

It's a necklace which drapes perfectly upon the neck, and it looks amazing on. Triangles of onyx, silver rays, and pearls, with chevron links on the sides. The pearls graduate in size, and the last ray on each side has a silver pearl.
