Only one like this. c. 1925 Acid Etched Amber Glass, often referred to Lalique like because of its fine design, Czech Fire Polished faceted black tear drops and Signed Sterling was used to create this heirloom piece. Matilde Poulat's jewels are one of the most difficult from the Mexican Silver Renaissance to find today. This signed necklace shows the early MATL mark which was the name of her Taller. It boasts a wearable length is 17in and a weight of 171 grams heavy. The drop is 4.75in. across and 4.25in. tall at the highest point. The most dramatic of Matl's is seen with the double strand of fancy chain. A beautiful drape that is rarely found. No damage as was lovingly cared for, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

Sanborns crafted this open backed repousse cuff with a floral motif. This type of work is an early method with this one being of exceptional weight of 71 grams and a height of 2in. Sometimes these cuffs have holes where light comes thru and or have a lighter weight of silver. This has none of those issues of damage, repairs or faults of any kind. A lovely item of early work to be admired by collectors.

Striking sterling necklace by Reveriano Castillo. He was among the first apprentices with William Spratling and later worked with Hector Aguilar at the Taller Borda. In 1952, he and Maria Castillo opened their own shop that they called "REVERI". This necklace is simple and elegant as typical of their style. Featured on page 172 of the book MEXICAN SILVER by Morrill and Berk, this is the Female Dancers Bracelet by Los Castillo, c.1940-45. Very rare and exhibiting magnificent detail, it measures 7 1/2" end to end and is 1 3/4" wide. I am unsure if the clasp is original or perhaps a replacement although it has the same patina as the bracelet. Weighing 78 grams, the bracelet is in excellent condition. Signed and numbered as shown. A charming chain and dangling ball sterling necklace by Horacio Parra. Horacio de le Parra was a manager in 1950 of Conquistador which was the largest silver factory in Mexico at the time. He was a friend of both William Spratling and Hector Aguilar. This piece is certainly of the same quality as their work. It measures 15" end to end and is 1" wide. Weighing 104 grams, it is in fine original condition and signed as shown. A wonderful necklace.
