This is a massive, bold and spectacular sterling and turquoise cuff bracelet by Frank Patania Sr. The bracelet is 2 1/2" wide in the front and narrows to 7/8" at the back ends. Only one like this. c. 1925 Acid Etched Amber Glass, often referred to Lalique like because of its fine design, Czech Fire Polished faceted black tear drops and Signed Sterling was used to create this heirloom piece. Simple design applications allow these etched pieces to nearly stand on their own. Would have been listed in "Estate Jewelry" were it not for the new sterling fancy paper clip chain (17.5"). Matilde Poulat's jewels are one of the most difficult from the Mexican Silver Renaissance to find today. This signed necklace shows the early MATL mark which was the name of her Taller. It boasts a wearable length is 17in and a weight of 171 grams heavy. The drop is 4.75in. across and 4.25in. tall at the highest point. Featured on page 172 of the book MEXICAN SILVER by Morrill and Berk, this is the Female Dancers Bracelet by Los Castillo, c.1940-45. Very rare and exhibiting magnificent detail, it measures 7 1/2" end to end and is 1 3/4" wide. I am unsure if the clasp is original or perhaps a replacement although it has the same patina as the bracelet. Weighing 78 grams, the bracelet is in excellent condition. Signed and numbered as shown. A charming chain and dangling ball sterling necklace by Horacio Parra. Horacio de le Parra was a manager in 1950 of Conquistador which was the largest silver factory in Mexico at the time. He was a friend of both William Spratling and Hector Aguilar. This piece is certainly of the same quality as their work. It measures 15" end to end and is 1" wide. Weighing 104 grams, it is in fine original condition and signed as shown. A wonderful necklace.
