A scarce WMF boy with snail pewter card tray circa 1900. This original period Art Nouveau oval calling card salver measures 11" x 5-3/8". it was made in Germany by WMF. WMF is the short form in current company use by the highly regarded German metal manufacturer Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik which began in 1853 in Geislingen an der Steige. This tray has the 210 embossed pattern number and WMFB 0X under the boy's hair on the back...

Gorgeous Goyard trunk, in absolutely wonderful antique condition! Picture this at the foot of your bed or use it as the perfect coffee table. The trunk features solid brass fittings including the lock, latches and heavy brass handles. These handles will never fall off unlike the leather ones which dry out, crack and fade away. Antique Goyard Trunk, early 1900's, from the estate of noted Opera Soprano Geraldine Farrar (America, b. 1882; d. 1967). She had her Metropolitan Opera debut in 1906, and performed opposite Enrico Caruso in 1907 in the American premiere of Madame Butterfly, and was later a celebrated Carmen. She retired from Opera in 1922. She was also a silent film star, debuting in Carmen directed by Cecil B. DeMille, starring in 13 films in her career...

Of large size, and unusual form, this tramp art box contains two drawers and has a lift top revealing a section slightly deeper than the drawers. The top section is 1 1/2" deep, and the drawers are 1 1/4" deep. The lift top section has a mirror built into the top. The box measures 14" x 10 1/4" and is roughly 12 1/2" high to top of finial. Heavily decorated with layers of carved wood, some painted, some varnished, making a nice contrast...
