Description: A beautiful Imperial blue-ground porcelain bowl in large size was painted to the exterior with five-clawed dragon motif. In iron-red, the imperial motif of dragons were paired with Phoenix and decorated with patterns of tendrils flowers and weeds. A real imperial porcelain was in quite large size and very unique colour. Date: Qing Dynasty, Guang-xu mark and period (AD1875-1908) Width: 25.5cm Condition: very good except some kiln defects within the foot rim.

Date: Qing Dynasty(late 19th Century) Material: Camphor wood. Length: 104cm Height: 45cm Depth: 6.5cm Condition: In very good condition at the front side, some decayed portion on the reverse side.

A jade of a chimera (mythical animal. The light grey-green nephrite jade has areas and spots of beige and dark brown natural that are to the stone. The animal is tilting its head to the left and is open-mouthed showing it's teeth and curled tongue. Period: Late Ming, Early Ching (17th/18th Century) Size: H = 3-1/2", Length = 5-3/4"

Chinese nephrite jade dog of a charcoal grey to dark grey coloration with off-white forepaws and muzzle. It has a sleek body and a sweet face. Where the forepaws come together, there is a hole for putting a thin rope through for wearing. Period: 19th Century Size: H = 7/8", Length = 3-1/2"

Chinese grey/brown nephrite jade of dog with large head and long comma-shaped ears. The jade has color variations and inclusions natural to the stone. There is a hole for stringing over its two paws and under the neck area. Period: Late Ming (17th Century) Size: H = 1-1/4", Length = 2-3/4"

Chinese white nephrite jade of reclining dog with tail curled over its left haunch. Has some inclusions natural to the stone. Period: Early Ching (18th Century) Size: H = 1/2", Length = 2-1/8"

 

A very tall footed chawan by Kawai Kanjiro enclosed in a fine Kiri-wood box endorsed by his daughter Koha, head of the Kawai Kanjiro Museum. The piece is very much in this potters unique style. The pale rough clay is covered in ash colored glaze with a wide band of soft green, within which are two floral scribbles in red and blue. The bowl is 6 inches (15 cm) diameter, 3-3/4 inches (9 cm) tall and is in perfect condition...

A bronze official's seal with the Chinese characters meaning "natural" and "pure." The top of the seal has a seated rabbit with its long ears folded behind its head. The rabbit is well-formed and proportioned down to the details of the toes on its paws. Period: Western Jin Size: (Seal) 2.4 cm x 2.4 cm., Height = 2.7 cm. Condition: Very good.

A bamboo brush pot carved in relief of a sage in contemplation wearing a flowing robe surrounded by nature - the hills are carved in relief while trees, grasses and flowers are etched around him. To his right side is a feather fan. There is a signed poem about his feather fan inscribed to the left of the carvings. It is a serene, well proportioned, beautifully carved piece. Period: Late 19th Century Size: Height = 15.7 cm (6-1/8 inches), Diameter = 11.25 cm (4-3/8 inches)

 

Description: A nice nephrite jade piece was carved as a crane carrying a branch of peaches with her beak. Metaphorical symbol of longevity in Chinese custom, Crane (Her -or wish to) and peach (longevity) altogether means- wish you happy and longevity. A beautiful fingering piece was carved with very good skill. Light celadon tint and some natural jade tissues stand her a true Ho-Tien pebble stone...

Description: One Fantastic big Jizhou Jar was molded in elegant shape. With typical brownish tint, the attractive glaze reflects it's retrospective glamour that only a real and true ware will do. A furosaki tea room screen made of a very large hanga woodblock print in the fashion of Inui Tai mounted within a simple wooden frame and stamped in the lower left corner. An intriguing work, village roofs are visible over a sea of rice containing all manner of small country scenes...

A very unusual art nouveau style Kutani vase decorated with a jagged forest of pink trees on soft green carpet, butterflies circling the shoulder which breaks into a darkened cloud of moriage beads decorated with spiraling karakusa designs in slightly raised gold. Superb workmanship, it is simply signed Kutani-zo (made in Kutani). The vase is 10 inches (25.5 cm) tall and in excellent condition and dates from the first quarter of the 20th century.
