Rare Chinese Ming Dynasty Monochrome Moulded Porcelain Wine Cup
This rare porcelain wine cup was made during the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644) or possibly a little earlier. To the lower body is a band of moulded Buddhist rui lappets together with a moulded seal mark within the foot. The white porcelain body is particularly translucent, highly-fired with a high-pitched ring when tapped.

Pair of Chinese early Republic period baluster form porcelain vases covered overall in a flambé transmutation style glaze (referred to as "san yang kai tai") of oxblood red and green that darkens to nearly black. The glaze drips down into the flared mouth and stops short of the unglazed base. 8 3/4" to just under 9” high each. Early 20th century. Very good overall condition...
A globular shaped Indian waterpipe base made of zinc alloy, the body decorated with vegetal motifs, inlaid in silver and brass. Condition: inlay losses, bottom with old repair. Dimension: 16.8 cm high, weight: 1160 g.
Description: An ivory pumpkin was delicately carved in Ming period (15th-16th Century). Kept with charming warm patina and obvious aged ivory tissues, the toggle was in good feel when fondling in the palm.
A typical Chinese curiosity for connoisseurring was rarely found these days. Referent material can be found in the Published: Fang jing Pei, Treasures of the Chinese Scholar (Weatherhill, 1997).
Some old defects like a hole and missing section of the stalk were found...

A Triad Blac De Chine Guanyin Statue was beautifully rendered.
In elegant sitting posture the holy deity was accompanied with two attendants in front of the throne.
And on the rocky stands beside her, there's a purity vase on the right and a holy hawk sitting on the left.
Serene and peaceful in mood, her features were well depicted when the flowing robe and the beaded rosary was carved in a fine craftsmanship...
Description:
A covered box was uniquely decorated on the surface with black iron spots.
The glaze was in bluish celadon tint and was suffused with whitish incursions in portions.
It was preserved in perfect condition.

Chinese Song / Yuan Dynasty Qingbai Porcelain Jar / Rice Measure
This small jar was made during the 13th - 14th century, during the latter part of the Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279), or possibly the following Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368). Its form is often referred to as a "rice measure". It has moulded decoration around the shoulder and is coated in a finely-crackled blueish-green qingbai glaze save for the rim and base that remain unglazed.

This is a newer Hakata doll. Hakata doll was originated by a roof tile maker in the early 17C during the construction of Fukuoka castle. Hakata is located on the Kyushu island (southern island in Japan), famous to other porcelain makers such as Satsuma, Imari, Nabeshima and Hirado.
She looks quite different from the 50’s Hakata export dolls, looking more like a dancer with an umbrella than a Geisha. She is 15 ¼” tall and her "Kanzashi" hair accessories and the umbrella are removal...
A spectacular set of bira-bira-kanzashi hair pins in the form of cranes among blossoming plum and pine formed of silver which come enclosed in a custom made silk-lined wooden box. Two are 13 inches (33 cm) long, the other is 9 inches (23 cm) long and all are in fine condition. According to a label inside the box they are from Akita City in Northern Japan, sold by Takeyaso Hon-ten. The box is 15 x 17 x 5 inches (38 x 43 x 13 cm). I do have more images if someone is interested.
Description: One ancient Tibet bronze Tara Buddha was preserved in a fine condition except some restoration to the covered bottom. By a greasy darken patina, the Tara was casted with serene facial features and stylized sitting posture. Date: 14th/15th Century, Height: 12.1cm, Width: 9.1cm.
A small square gold lacquer Japanese incense container with rounded corners. The lid is decorated with a relief of waves and rocks, inlaid in mother-of-pearl and lead. Interior and base with nashiji, the rims covered with lead. Later tomobako. Dimension: c. 9.5 cm x 7.5 cm x 2.5 cm. Condition: few traces of usage, a tiny chip (see photo No. 2 at 2 o'clock).
