A Ming dynasty 16th century Jiajing period polychrome saucer dish, decorated at the interior with reversed green of flower branch medallion in the center and diaper pattern around mouth rim. A Japanese blue and white koro with all over cartographic decoration of the Japanese Islands, with provinces labeled, and other bodies including seas and land masses with countries labled. The name used for Korea uses the name Joseon which dynasty (established in 1392) ended by varying accounts between 1897 and 1910. The censer could be later still. Chinese porcelain plate finely painted in Qianjiang enamels, showing a temple in a hilly landscape. Dated, inscribed and signed Tinghui (apparently Fang Tinghui, active late 19th century). The base with four character mark "Zhushan rui pin". Condition: fine, only gilt rim and blue enamel with little wear. Dimension: diameter: 22.6 cm, 3.8 cm high.

A unusual rare well carved jade pendant with a stylized head of a Zhou pig on top and tapering down into a fang or a claw.. The upper part of the jade is of a black and tan color and the tail is translucent. There is a hole at the back of the mouth for stringing. Size: L. 4.7cm. W. 1.2cm. Condition: See last photo.

The compressed globular body resting on low foot, surmounted by a tall cylindrical neck with everted rim, covered overall in a lightly bluish - green glaze, the unglazed footrim burnt orange in the firing. height 16.5 cm condition : crack line from the rim, and star line on the body. A circular pale celadon jade pendant, carved and pierced with a parrot perched on a flowering prunus branch. A quite identical plaque was sold 8 November 2013 by Christie's, London South Kensington. Condition: fine. Dimension: diameter: 5.2 cm, approx. 0.3 cm thick.

A beautiful large black Seto Guro Hikidashi Chawan with undulating rim sculpted to perfectly rest in the hands by some anonymous 17th to 18th century potter. It is 5 inches (13 cm) diameter, 3 inches (8 cm) tall and in fine condition.

A beautiful Ewer pot was well glazed in yellowish slip.
In nice profile, the Ewer was well potted in decent form.
Fine crackles were yielded due to age.
Some abrasions were found on the surface and at the foot base.

Chinese Qing dynasty Qianlong period round form deep plate decorated in underglaze blue on a celadon-white porcelain ground with two deer standing in a rocky landscape under a pine tree with a bat flying at the upper left. Bats and deer shown together symbolize blessings and wishes for high rank and official salary. The pine is a symbol of longevity. Four bamboo leaf sprays are at the outer rim. The foot rim and base are unglazed. 18th century. 11” diameter x 2 3/8” high...

Something I have never seen before, a set of pillows for one couple from Shimabara, one of the oldest pleasure districts of Kyoto, enclosed in the original Kiri-wood storage box. The man’s pillow is a simple roundel of soft leather. The woman’s, made for a geisha and her elaborate coiffure, is a small tapering black lacquered box with a drawer for a hair pin, to the top of which is secured a brocade pillow with a silk chord...

A blue and white candle stick or candle holder, decorated each with officials and precious emblem. Late Ming dynasty, Chongzhen period in perfect condition. Height each: 12cm.

An early snow covers the branches of a ragged pine, the clutches of autumn still evident in the red tinged leaves of ivy clinging tremulously to the limbs. This is a spectacular large Kyo-yaki work signed on the base Seifu and enclosed in a period wooden box. Dating from the late 19th to early 20th century, it is nearly 10 inches (25 cm) diameter, 5-1/2 inches (14 cm) to the top of the lid and in excellent condition. This is the work of Seifu Yohei I.

This unusual necklace is made from horn beads (presumably goat). The "hook and eye" ends act as a clasp and are also from goat.

Mala Prayer beads from Lhasa with silver counters. I am not sure what the beads are made from but they are from Lhasa Tibet purchased over 15 years ago. Size: 50cm X 2.

A museum quality koro covered in soft pink glaze decorated with chickens in raised relief surmounted with a woven silver lid by Kiyomizu Rokubei enclosed in the original signed wooden box. Ryugu-jo Castle is depicted in gold couched thread on the blue silk field of this superb Fukusa gift cloth dating from the turn of the 19th century. Frothing white waves surround the mythical palace, and the four corners of the cloth are secured by long-tailed minogame turtles, befitting the scene. It measures 25 x 32 inches (64 x 82 cm) and is in excellent condition but for some wear on one side of the red silk-crepe backing (see close-up photo)...

A massive tiger defensively nudges the female deity on this amazing 19th century silk Fukusa. Hand-painted and composed from patchwork patterns of lavish antique brocades and featuring glass eyes and metal teeth and claws sewn into the fabric of the creature. The piece is backed with red rinzu silk patterned with cranes and plum blossoms. It is 23-1/2 x 25-1/2 inches (59 x 64 cm) and is in fine condition. It comes wrapped around a pillow in a large kiri-wood box.

Chinese Qing dynasty Qianlong period Dehua porcelain blanc-de-chine Guanyin dressed in a long flowing robe and adorned with a beaded necklace. The figure is seated upon a recumbent "hou" (Buddhist lion-like creature) and she holds a ruyi scepter. Her elegant face has downcast eyes. A faintly visible impressed gourd form seal mark is on the back of her robe. A custom wood stand is included. The glaze is a warm, creamy, glossy ivory tone. 18th century or earlier...

The 14 petal Imperial Chrysanthemum forms a triad emblazoned in gold on the lid of this exquisite mizusashi fresh water jar by Imperial Court Artist Ito Tozan I enclosed in the original signed wooden box dated as having been received in June 1911. The box is tied with a green silk chord. The piece is 6-1/2 inches (16.5 cm diameter, roughly 7 inches (18 cm) tall and is in perfect condition. Chinese Qing dynasty compressed globular form porcelain brush washer covered overall in a rich flambé glaze with a jun-like quality. The base is has an applied bronze wash and the foot rim is unglazed. The edge of the rim is bordered with a thin, geyao type crackled white glaze.
