Fine Chinese Neolithic Pottery Jar - Caiyuan Culture (c. 2600 - 2200 BC)
This rare and attractively-shaped round pottery jar was made over 4,000 years ago by peoples of the Caiyuan Culture (c. 2600 - 2200 BC) and has been excavated from the Ningxia Autonomous Region in the north of China. A carved wood figure of a Daoist Immortal, probably a depiction of Confucius or Laozi, sitting on a separate stool-shaped base, his hands raised before his chest. Remnants of paint. Condition: old losses, cracks. Dimension: total height: c. 37. 8 cm, 17 cm wide x 8.8 cm deep.
Description:
A Longquan bird-feeder was in plain form.
Well mold in round shape, the vessel was preserved in perfect condition.
The glaze was in pale green tint.
The scars left at the bottom were caused during pottering when the potter using a wire or thread to cut the vessel from the potter's wheel. A characteristic from old wares we usually see.
It was a rare piece from which some similar ones were in the collection of the Palace Museum of Beijing(see last two photos)...
A Chinese carved cinnabar saucer dish. A chrysanthemum flower head adorns the center of the dark vermillion colored dish and is surrounded by a leaf lappet border. The carved decoration revealing a cross section of dozens of built up layers of cinnabar lacquer. 19th century or earlier. Good condition. 5 15/16 inches (15.08 cm) diameter. Weighs 5.5 to 5.6 ounces (more than 1/3 of a pound) or about 158 grams - pretty weighty for the small diameter.

Description: A beautiful covered metal box was delicately chased and carved with traditional Chinese scenes like pagodas, mountain ridges and pine troves as main picture on the cover's surface. Added more with good metaphors like bats, chrysanthemums and flying magpies on the box's outer surface, this alloyed box therefore became a nice cosmetic holder for the use of a fair lady...
Description: A northern stoneware was intriguingly applied with russet oil-spots glaze. In a lovely size, the bowl was molded regularly in well proportion. While with a charming glaze effects on the inner and outer surface, the bowl’s foot ring was unglazed and was revealed with the meticulously applied protection coating on the body clay. The sandy-feel protection slip cracked in some way and reveal the white clay underneath. Date: Jin to Yuan period(13th-14th century)

Description:A unique blue and white inkcake holder was in flat drum’s shape.
Painted on the surface with Buddhist diagrams and floral patterns,the basin was decorated with round dots on the upper and lower rim as drum’s nails.
In the center, the small circular brush-lick pool was unglazed and stained with some old ink.
As to the painting, cobalt blue was concentrating within the flowing brush
strokes. The darkened blue suggested that native Chinese ingredients were
used...
Rare Chinese Northern Wei Dynasty Painted Pottery Winnowing Figure
This very rare pottery figure was made during the Northern Wei Dynasty (AD 386 - 534). It is made from a buff-coloured pottery that has been "cold painted" in a creamy-white pigment. The kneeling figure is in the act of winnowing. Note the detail of the figure's face and the way in which the long sleeves from his robe are tied behind his back.

Japanese limited edition sosaku hanga woodblock print depicting three chickens titled “Jealousy” by Kiyoshi Saito (1907-1997) dated 1952. Pencil-signed and numbered 91/300 in the bottom margin. Visible paper size: 14 3/4" x 10 1/4" (image: 13 3/4" x 9 1/4). Framed size: 24 7/8” x 19 3/4.” Visibly in very good overall condition and color. Description: A small QingBai ram was excavated with obvious incursions on pale blue glaze. Deposits and iron spots were spread all over the surface. Referent material( Chinese Ancient Porcelaneous Toys) was published in May 1995.

Lovely lobed dishes with a creamy white glaze. Diameter 11,2 cm. Very good condition, one of the dishes with some light brown stains, due to its long time in the soil. Song Dynasty (960-1279).
An early work featuring white walls in Autumn foliage by Kitamura Seigyu enclosed in the original signed double wooden box. The box appears to be titled HakuryuJi no yu (evening around Hakuryuji). There are many places named Hakuryuji in Japan, so it is difficult ot be specific, but near his home of Hokkaido, and a place he would have passed through is a Hakuryuji in mountainous and rural Akita prefecture...
