Chinese Kangxi period (1662-1722) globular form export porcelain lidded teapot with straight spout, loop handle, and domed cover decorated overall with panels of flowering plants in the Imari palette of underglaze cobalt blue and overglaze red pigments with gilt highlights set against a white porcelain ground. A large dish, heavily potted, curving gently up from a ring foot, covered in a beautiful celadon glaze producing the "iron wire, golden thread" crackles of the Geyao type glaze. The recessed base is unglazed with orange burnt. Ming Dynasty : 16th Century Diameter 27 cm. Condition : Good , one shallow chip on the mouthrim, no hairline, crack or restoration.

Description: An ivory pumpkin was delicately carved in Ming period (15th-16th Century). Kept with charming warm patina and obvious aged ivory tissues, the toggle was in good feel when fondling in the palm. A typical Chinese curiosity for connoisseurring was rarely found these days. Referent material can be found in the Published: Fang jing Pei, Treasures of the Chinese Scholar (Weatherhill, 1997). Some old defects like a hole and missing section of the stalk were found...

A small fan painting by an anonymous painter of the Tosa School in ink, colors and gold on paper. Mounted on goldfleck paper. Depicting a battle scene of the "Tale of the Heike", an epic account of the struggle between the Taira and Minamoto clans for control of Japan at the end of the 12th century. This fan painting probably belongs to the same set of illustrations of the "Heike Monogatari" in the Museum of Asian Art in Berlin. Condition: slightly browned, some pigments rubbed...

Bowl decorated with continus floral scroll on the exterior, glazed base. PERIOD : Middle Ming (16th Century) MEASUREMENTS: 7 cm tall, 14.5 cm wide. CONDITION: very good, a tiny frting to the rim, no cracks, no hairlines and free from restorations.

Decorated with continous chrysantemum scroll on the exterior and floral spray on the center. Ming Dynasty Diamater = 14.5 cm; Height = 7 cm Condition : very short hairline (0.5 cm) on the rim.

A nice jade "bi" disk carved in the Han Dynasty style with dots and "c" scrolls. Color is a transparent light pale celadon. It shows up darker in the photos. Age:Late Ming. Size: Diameter.5.3cm. Condition. Some minor chips on the rim.

Blue and white bowl decorated with Wang Zhaojun in the center and ilustration of story of Zhaojun Departs the Frontier. Diameter = 14.5 cm, Height = 7 cm. Ming-Zhengde 1491 – 1521 Condition : two hairlines, no chips or restorations.

With a green and yellow glaze, decorated in relief with a fish between water plants. One side of the flask is left uncleaned to show how the flask was found. The soil can be easily removed. Condition: very good with expected age wear and age cracks in the glaze. 20 cm. Ming Dynasty (1368-1644)
