A fine 18th century Chinese molded celadon-glazed porcelain dish, finely decorated chrysantemum flower with the rim, covered overall in green glazed. DATE : Qianlong (1736 - 1795). SIZE : D = 28 cm CONDITION : very good condition, no chips, cracks, hairlines and free from restorations.

An Edo Period Kozuka (utility knife handle.) Kinko (mixed soft metals) decoration on shakudo alloy with nanako (fish roe textured) background. Depicted in a farmer with horse in water plowing in prepartion to plant rice. A willow or other weeping tree, to one side, not yet with blooms. Nicely detailed with featured highlighted with gold and silver overlay. The water nicely textures with an itame (wood grain) effect. Serviceable, fair to good condition...

A blue silk twill gauze men's jifu decorated in gold couched thread with eight four-clawed mang dragons pursuing flaming pearls amidst clouds and bats. Few details executed in colored silk, silver brocade edging. The bottom is embroidered with waves, stylized rocks and the "lishui" pattern. Side-fastening overlapping closure with hooks and five gilt buttons, front and back slit, the sleeves ending in horsehoof cuffs. Only the ends of the sleeves with blue silk lining...

Blue & White bowl, decorated at the exterior with a pair of Lion Foo Dogs playing brocaded balls, flower at the center interior and diaper pattern around inner rim. Seal mark on the base. Ming dynasty 17th century Wanli period (1573-1619). Condition: invisible restored to one tiny chip and one short hairline, further in good condition. Diameter: 15 cm and High: 7.4 cm.

A good shard sample of five dynasty foliated dish, this shard is decorated with celadon glaze. this shards is very good for studying and comparison to any one who interested in studying early Chinese porcelain.

A decidedly different version of this theme, a Festive carved wooden Tai (Red Snapper) fish with removable side for sashimi coated inside in gold with bone teeth and inlayed bone eyes. The craftsman ahs gone to great lengths to make this as realistic as possible, from the textures of the skin to the folds in the fins and coloring. Unusually, most dishes in this vein are one sided, however this is equally realistically carved on both sides...

Height: 44cm Width: 26cm Depth: 19cm Condition: Overall in good condition except some wear at the lower part of the torso. Stand, part of left palm and religious weapon holding in the right hand were lost .

Description: A Jun lotus-bud bowl was in a lovely size.
By a fine condition, the bowl was applied with dark mustard-blue glaze which was hard being yielded precisely in my pictures.
It was an excavation piece that can be clearly verified by those characteristics, like the minute whitish dots happened to the glaze bubbles, the fine crackles, the incursive whitish band around the rim where the glaze meeting with the body clay and the old-feel brownish body clay at the bottom where the mold...

What a fantastic expression worn by this Edo p. Seto Hand warmer (hibachi or properly Shuro/ Te-abure). The dark shiny Seto glaze suits well the beast portrayed. Coals would have been burned inside, heating the surrounding pottery walls, and the piece would have been placed on a step leading into the house for guests to warm their hands on or used within the house in a more formal room. It is 13 inches (33 cm) long and is in fine condition overall...

A good and well form Annamese jar, decorated to the body with hanging lotus petals scrolls and to the shoulder with petals form all in very fine cobalt blue tone. Annamese ware 15th century, condition is perfect except tiny flake glaze to rim, no crack and free from restoration. High: 6cm.

Longquan charger covered with guan type - crackle celadon glaze and decorated with chrysantemum flower on the center. Glazed Base. Southern Song 南宋 (1127–1279). Measurement : Diameter: 27 cm. Condition : cracks on the body, free restorations.

What is unusual about this Uchikake is that the fabric has a plastic coating. This is the only one that I have seen with this type of finish. This gown will survive nicely in the high traffic area or you can even hang it by the fireplace in your home. The color is orange. There are some areas that the plastic is missing (last picture). This is something that I did not see until I started to view these pictures (shown in last picture). Other than that, the condition is like new...
