This is a blue and white Chinese Export miniature "Long Eliza" trumpet-lipped vase comprising molded lobed panels having ladies and foliage in the Kang Hsi style, bearing a jade mark on the underside, It is in excellent condition and measures 4 1/2 in. approx.

A definitely rare example of Ming dynasty b/w dish with design of four fishes among lotus pond and water weeds in peacock green glaze. Six character mark 'Da Ming Xuan De Nien Zhe' but probably later product of Chenghua period if compare with a similar piece with Chenghua mark in Shanghai Museum visible on enlargement 10. Condition is broken into four pieces with two small missing part, and firing imperfection to the glaze. Diameter: 21.5cm

Description: One prestigious and rare Jianyang Temmoko bowl was in attractive pitch-black glaze. In elegant domed shape, the luster on the surface inside and outside the bowl was introspective and charming. Under the magnifying glass, web-like thin cracks were spread all over the surface...

 

Description:
A fine and nice tripod censer was applied on the surface with black glaze.
It was in decent look by well proportioned body with three supporting feet.
The feet was shaped with well-executed skill by apparently a bamboo cutter or some hard tools.
'Cause obvious scraping scars were left at the feet trunks.
The scars were also approved by a documented piece.(See last picture.)

Description: A scholar bronze water basin was in lovely pumpkin shape. Covered with typical old patina on the surface and left pigment between the lobes, the item was kept in very good condition except some minor dents which was not unusual to an old piece. One later made dip was accompanied with this piece as a perfect match. Date: 18th/19th Century. Width: 5.3cm, Weight: 51gram.

Description: A rare excavation piece of a jadeite snuff bottle was in beautiful greenish tint and with obvious incursions. Even with un-satisfactory cracks which was due to long time of burial, the snuff bottle was in stable condition and the hollowing craftsmanship was quite good. An adequate black steatite cap was newly paired but more work was needed to add the dipper on. Date: Qing Dynasty (18th century) Dimension: 4.9cm x 3.8cm 1.5cm

 

A good one of Qingbai dish, decorated to interior center with incised a pair fish among waves, six ribs to cavetto sides. Southern Song dynasty in perfect condition. Diameter: 15,3cm.

Description:

A scholar wristrest was intriguingly made from a piece natural burlwood.

Obtained from the bark of the alleged agalloch-the precious incense wood and followed the original shape, the wristrest was curved in the center to leave the space for the spreading scroll underneath.
It was what a wristrest used for.
On a reverse side, this wood piece was sit like a supporting vessel for putting brush-pen or ready for wet inkcakes...

By a popular Chinese metaphor of long life and abundance in posterity, the white jade piece was well carved from a creek-found pebble(Zi-liao).and was in transparent look. It was greasy feel on the surface and was in perfect condition. It was much more white in real than in the pictures. Date: Qing Dynasty,18th/19th century. Height: 4.3cm.

A black-glazed Cizhou tea bowl was in decent conical shape.
It was decorated inside the bowl with striking radiating partridge-feather mottles and was stand by a well-shaped foot ring which revealed with off-white body clay.

An extremely rare 'Ge' type glazed bowl, a good rounded form balance potted with everted lip rim, decorated with double crackle irregular iron-black and rust-brown crackle, known in Chinese as 'Jinsi Tiexian' (gold thread and iron wire) stopping neatly above the brown-wash foot base. Records concerning 'Ge' wares are confused and unreliable, but the major glaze was fired in an iron-neutral or oxidizing process, producing a bluish-gray or grayish-yellow such like appears to this piece...

Question:Ever wonder what the Chinese wore on their feet while working in a flooded rice field? The answer: Large high leather boots with knobbed soles. I have 2 of these but I suspect they they are not really a pair, so I am selling them separately. Obviously, they have had a long and useful life. Considering the amount of the dried dirt that fell out of the inside when I turned them upside down, I doubt that they are still water-proof...

Lovely group of 3 Mingqi pottery figures, partly glazed in green and painted with red, black and yellow pigments. Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). The dating of this group is consistent with TL-test no. 04231113 by Laboratory Ralf Kotalla. H. 29 cm. Nice old burial condition with expected age wear.
