An incredible hand painted Taisho period bijin scroll signed Hakuho; so lifelike it looks to be a photograph. An angelic, Kimono clad beauty pauses to gaze out the garden window. One arm resting on the sill, she tranquilly stares past the hanging lantern and bamboo close at hand, her beautiful almond eyes fixed on the distance, she appears to be looking not at the garden, but at her own world. A colorful comb decorates her full hair while a pendant dangles from a kanzashi above her ear...

Striking handmade sterling silver necklace and detachable pin designed and signed (c. 1940's) by Taxco, Mexico artist Los Castillo. The center section measures 3" long x 3" wide. The detachable chains give the necklace a wearable length of 16 1/2". Excellent vintage condition with no dents or dings. The clasp, necklace chains and pin back all work perfectly.

Chinese antique jade and rosewood opium pipe circa 1890. A beautiful example with mottled jade bowl in the shape of a fist pipe damper and mouthpiece are also jade the pipe stem is rosewood. Measuring approx. 14.5 inches in length the bowl 2.5 in diameter. A fine example would make a nice addition to any collection.

One of my favorite - and at the same time classic - Enrique Ledesma designs the bracelet at hand combines sterling silver and golden sheen obsidian in the maestro's characteristic, perfectly seamless way. Ledesma experimented with various stones creating the specific bracelet but I think this year is meant to be an "obsidian year" for me and I will say that I love this version...

An antique cast bronze waniguchi bell or gong, the type used to hang in front of places of prayer and under temple eaves dated 1710. Often these can be found hanging over saisen-bako where the bell is rung by clanging a dangling rope with wooden corbel against the bell to awaken the gods; coins are tossed and a prayer given. Chinese Song / Yuan Dynasty Moulded Dehua Qingbai Porcelain Box

This covered box was made during the 13th - 14th century, most likely at the Dehua kilns in Fujian province. Both upper and lower parts are decorated with moulded scrolling patterns. The inner and outer surfaces are coated in a very finely-crackled qingbai glaze that has just a hint of blue. The slightly concave base remains unglazed.
