A mystery maker for me - though listed by Bille Hougart in his book on Mexican silver hallmarks (see p. 249) - it is Taller Taxco that signs this modernist pendant necklace, obviously based on a rather rare to find Salvador Teran design. Large and imposing, masterfully crafted, the pendant is shaped like a squatting pre-Colombian figure with his hands closed around a big, tumbled blue stone with green undertones and some matrix showing on the side (maybe blue chrysoprase?)...

Once owned by Andy Warhol this vintage 1950's sterling silver & chrysacolla bracelet was designed & signed by Taxco, Mexico artist Felipe Martinez for Piedra Y Plata. The six panels of the design measure 1 inch wide X 6 1/2 wearable inches long. It weighs 89 grams and is in beautiful condition with minor surface wear. Fully hallmarked. Fantastic! This brooch is in the style of Miriam Haskell, though unsigned. Various sizes and shapes of prong-set clear rhinestones along with faceted crystals of varying shapes and sizes. Double layer filigree backing typical of old Haskell. Great worn at the waist or to accent a plunging neckline. Over all length 4 3/4", width 2 1/4", depth 1". Very chunky and very well made.

Over the top extraordinary, large, long sterling and enamel screwback earrings by Margot De Taxco. Vibrant yellow and black enamel with center dots in green, red and pale purple that look like jewels. These measure 2 1/8" long and are 1" at the widest part. They are in fine original condition. There are no chips, cracks or flaws to the enamel and they have not been repaired. They are completely, simply spectacular.

VERY RARE Hector Aguilar Aztec Metal Symbols Cuff bracelet c. 1940-55 in 940 silver. It is featured on page 29 of the book SILVER MASTERS OF MEXICO by Morrill and Berk. Each panel has a different Aztec metal symbol. The bracelet is hinged on one side and has a pin closure. It measures 6 1/2" around in the inside and is 1 1/4" wide. It weighs 115 grams and is in beautiful original condition. Signed as shown. VERY hard to come by and an amazing masterpiece.

Of heavy, dense exotic wood and inlaid with carved shell pieces, this ceremonial staff is from the Solomon Islands, pre 1950s. The form is better than most, having a figural image at the top, well carved with open legs and good detail.
