A rare found jar excavated from central Celebes, with fine balance potted in globular shape, decorated with two lug handles on the shoulder and incised strips design to body. Covered overall with pale brown glaze. Northern Song or possibly earlier. Condition is very good, just found minor flake glaze chips to rim and repaired, no crack, further in perfect condition. High: 12cm and Wide maximum: 14.1cm.

An unusual 17th to early 18th century Screen featuring a koto harp and candle stand behind a screen under blossoming prunus, a spry group of pine in front and rushing water beyond. Incredible veining in the gold. Like much of Japanese art, the viewer is asked to interpret the scene as they see fit. Perhaps the remnants of a night of poetry and music under the plum blossoms. Perhaps the lonely Michizane playing to the moon, alone in exile with thoughts longing for Kyoto...

Kokeshi, wooden folk toy of NE Japan. Height: 17". This is an example of the "Naruko-kei" tradition of Miyagi Prefecture. The artisan was Moriya Kazuo, who was born on Septemeber 4th, 1928 (Showa 3.) I have a very rare, Antonio Pineda Terascan necklace to offer today. Properly signed on the silver balls attached to velvet and on the Terascan itself. A thick 970 silver sheet is hand made and hand hammered to build texture. The bottom is rimmed for a well finished look and depth. The height in the center is 1.25 in. and it spans 5 in. across. No damage on the silver or velvet which is in excellent condition. The velvet can be tied as long as 23 in. Approximate pendant weight is 70 grams...

Chinese carved jade model of a brilliant green chloromelonite jadeite oval plaque, with qilin beneath pine, and verso with phoenix and flowering branch motifs (possibly color enhanced but not tested). Size; Width of this fine carving is 1 3/4 inches with the height of 3 1/4 inches. Condition Report; Fine carving with no condition concerns.

A good blue & white dish, with slightly thinly potted and foliated lip rim, decorated at the exterior center with four lion foo dogs playing ball within double circle, on the wall cavetto with pomegranate design, underside with two blooms of fungus/ruyi scroll and three flowers scroll among clouds motif. Four characters mark "Da Ming Nien Zhao", Ming dynasty Zhengde period (1506-1521)...

A diminutive oak roll top desk with tambour top, single bank of drawers and fitted interior. Circa 1920s-1930s. Size: 30 in. wide x 39.5 in. ht. x 19 in. deep. With pull out writing slide. Excellent condition.

A stunner, early Deco Flli Coppini pendant necklace, this piece is not only holding a beautiful St. George slaying the Dragon medallion but it's adorned with a multitude of figural charms. Combinations like this are very hard to find and as the example at hand is wrought in .800 silver, it dates most probably in the pre-1934 period, when the sterling standard had not been yet adopted by the Italian authorities...

Chinese Western Han Dynasty Painted Pottery Head (206 BC - AD 8)

This fine pottery head was made during the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 8). It has been "cold painted" in a base coat of white pigment on top of which have been painted pink, red and black pigments to pick out the facial details.

Description: One unique and elegant Qingbai covered box was in a decent look. Decorated on the cover with rarely seen ironish brown mottlings, the box was molded with fine circular shape. By a well preserved glaze, the surface was left with obvious whitish incursions here and there as the authentication of an excavation piece.
