A very unusual Shino-yaki ceramic Tsuri-doro hanging lantern with bronze handle and chain dating from the early 20th century, Meiji to Taisho period. Made in the shape of a thatched house, four ragged posts support the roof and delineate the rounded sides. A different opening is seen on all four sides, a square door, grated circular window, The character Hisa, and a latticed circular window. The white glaze is scorched red on the edge of the roof...

Description: A Zitan brush pen was preserved rarely with original cap. In a simple and plain form and kept with old patina, the brush was in perfect condition except lost of brush hair which didn’t matter much to a rare piece. Date: Late Qing period(19th century), Length: 20 cm (including cap)

A Victorian 19thC Scottish sterling silver agate kilt pin with a bloodstone. This antique 2-3/8" x 3/8" Scottish pin features fine hand tooling and engraving, it has natural bloodstone and red jasper stones as well as an amber stone which may be natural cairngorm (we haven't had it checked)...

This is an extraordinary sterling bird pin/pendant by Salvador Teran. It is a magnificent example of his fascination with overlapping planes. The front feathers stand out in front of an oxidized background and the tail feathers move freely and swing. This is a large piece measuring 3 3/8" long and 1 3/8" wide. It is in fine original condition, weighs 26 grams, and hallmarked and numbered as shown. It is a remarkable example of this artists' imagination and creativity.

A beautiful and rare silver and gold ring by William Spratling c. 1940. I do not know if the balls are solid gold or a gold wash over silver. Simple and elegant, it is a size 7 and suitable for a man or woman. It is in fine original condition (lines on the balls are reflections)and signed Spratling Silver Made in Mexico...

Description: A jade pendant was carved with motifs of dragons (one on each end) amid scrolling cloud. By the elegant style, the jade piece is preserved in excellent condition except for some incursions on the surface.From the typical off-white jade quality, the style of the motifs and the characteristics of the carved lines and the size, the piece is dated as from Late Ming to Early Qing period(15th-16th century). A good Yuan dynasty longquan celadon jar with applied moulded decoration of peony scroll, lower part decorate with stylish lotus petals, glazed base with un-glaze foot ring, jar covered with olive green glaze.
Jar is in good condition only with faint glaze star line at the body, probably becouse of manufacture bubble burst, no chip, no broken part, no restoration.

A very charming wise old OWL! This vase stands 12 inches tall and is 7 inches wide/diameter. The body of the owl is comprised of rough unglazed "feathers" and has glazed shiny highlights. The sides and based are glazed. This exanple is unmarked, but I have had marked versions, all with the Royal Haegar ink stamp. No cracks, chips or repairs, Circa 1960

Excellent vintage mid-century modern sterling cuff with a very distinctive design incorporating carved wood and turquoise. Circa 1960. Marked STERLING and also with a mark which looks like three animal claws or an animal track. Although I can't find this exact mark in "Hallmarks of the Southwest" I am guessing this piece is Native American.

The centerpiece is a piece of carved grained wood which is layered between silver pieces which follow the outlines of the wood...

A 19th century (early Meiji) period Buddhist image we believe to be a thousand armed version of Yakushi Nyorai accompanied by two sages carved entirely of fragrant sandalwood on a gilded wooden base. The group is in total 15-1/2 inches (39 cm) tall, the image alone 5-1/2 inches (14 cm) tall. Both sages are missing an arm, as well as one lotus blossom rising from the wave patterned base. The holy figure itself also once had a greater number of arms, which have been lost over the last 150 years...

George I sterling silver Hanoverian table spoon with rat tail to reverse of bowl and having a pronounced midrib to upturned handle with engraved shaded block initials of the original owners, A over P*A, above a slightly later second set, M*B. London, 1720, by the silversmith Henry Miller I. Length: 7 5/8". Condition: Excellent, with no wear, dents or cracks to the elliptical bowl. Hallmarks are legible, though the maker's mark is somewhat closed from the reshaping of the stem after assaying...

An extraordinary of Jizhou vase in small Meiping form, decorated to the body with geometry scroll design and key-fret pattern to the rim with tortoise shell glazing technique, but made by high firing to be a porcelain than like a stoneware which usually appears on the other Jizhou wares, foot rim clay has a gray tint. Masterpiece product by Jizhou ware was ever found in Indonesia and collected from East Java...

A good potted of white glaze jar, decorated with incised chrysanthemum flowers below 'ruyi' heads border to the shoulder, bottom with lotus panels. Ming dynasty 15th possibly Interregnum period ware. Condition is good near to perfect, excepted one chip to the foot rim, no crack and no any restoration, replacement lid caused the original one is missing. High maximum: 12cm and Body wide: 9.5cm.

A good shaped of b/w small cup with thinly potted, decorated with two lions playing coin ball among scroll pattern. Middle Ming dynasty Jiajing ware. Condition is good excepted a tiny chip to foot rim and very minor to mouth rim, no crack and free from restoration. Diameter: 7cm and High: 4.5cm.

A rare Blanc De Chine 'Da mo' figure, standing on the rock with sea waves pattern, right hand carry a double guard pot and all the body shown a fine details of Dehua ware works of art. Seal mark on the back with the artist name 'He Zhao Zhong Zhe' and the other with two characters 'De Hua'. 17th/18th century Fujian Dehua ware. Condition is perfect. High: 44.5cm.

Misty Harbor scene by Thomas R. Curtin (American, 1899-1978), oil on canvas, circa 1940s, 20" x 24". This canvas depicts a North shore harbor, probably Gloucester, Mass., with the focal point being a pleasure sailing craft whose sails form a shimmering reflection in the still waters of the harbor, providing a contrast both in light and tone with the surrounding commercial fishing boats and processing plant in the background...

It's the rare and important cultural property one of Jizhou ewer has been survived after 1000 years, decorated to the body with glazing technique of the Tortoise shell created by coast of yellowish brown and black glazes with four different position Phoenixes on flight. Song dynasty 10th-11th century. Condition still very good excepted minor flaked glaze to body, minor old chips to foot rim and crackled glaze like spider web appears on whole body. No cracks and of course no any restoration...

 

A fine one of b/w bowl with well balance potted, decorated to the exterior with cranes on the flight among clouds scroll and supported by trigram motif. Inside the center with a crane and diaper pattern border to rim. Four characters mark of "Qang Ming Ru Gui" to the base within double circle. Ming dynasty 16th century Jiajing ware in perfect condition. Diameter: 12.5cm and High: 6.3cm.

An intricate age darkened Keyaki (elm) carving of two dragons vying for dominance in a sea of clouds, glass eyes glowing softly in the rich red wood. Dating from the later 19th century, the carving is 49 inches (125 cm) long, 4 x 1-1/2 inches (9.5 x 3.5 cm). It is overall in fine condition with some inevitable abrasions due to time. The tennons on both ends indicate this was made to be inserted between two pillars, and was likely the transom over a Buddhist altar.

A nice one of Yuan dynasty b/w bowl, decorated at the exterior with 'ruyi' and flowers scroll above lotus panels, the interior center with fungus blossom within double circle and border to inner rim with continuously classic scroll. Yuan dynasty 14th century. Condition is good near to perfect, only found a tiny chip to rim. Collected in South-Sulawesi. Diameter: 16.5cm.

A rare brown glaze Kendi, applied with two moulded dragons, covered overall with brown glaze till foot, flat base. 14th century possibly Fujian ware. Condition restored to rim and spout, further in good condition. High: 15.3cm and body wide: 13.4cm.

A bird feeder decorated with two ring handles and covered overall with ivory white glaze slightly pinkish tint. Song dynasty in perfect condition. High: 4.3cm and Wide: 6.6cm.

A fine miniature celadon small jar, with globular form and covered overall with a nice olive green glazes. Condition is perfect, excepted slightly tilt to one side. Yuan dynasty Longquan ware. High: 6cm and Wide: 7.1cm.

A bowl with very thinly potted and in flower shaped with fluted sides body, decorated to the center with incised flower scroll. Base white unglazed. Yuan dynasty Jindezhen ware, it is the finer manufactures of Chinese Qingpai ware, rarely to found considering to the excavated piece with very thinly wall cavetto and easy to damage, fortunate to founded just a triangle chip with associated hairline visible on enlargement 7, further in good condition. Description: A black-glazed tea bowl was uniquely shaped in a stout way. Molded by a narrowed wall, the foot had a rolled ring at the bottom. Having been cleaned professionally though, the luster of the glaze was retrospective when subtle brownish tint was amid the evenly applied black glaze. Date: Jin to Yuan period, Provenance: Tinlin kiln Fujiang Province. Width: 11.5cm, Height: 5.7cm.

Very nice look of Song dynasty white glazed jar, decorated with incised flower scroll to the shoulder and attached four lugs ring handles to upper side, in the center with two lines of beads and lotus petals to the bottom, unglazed white flat base. Condition: restored to one triangle chip, also slight harmed one of the lug, further in perfect shaped. Song dynasty collected in South-Sulawesi. High: 9.1cm and Wide: 10.5cm

Description: A northern stoneware was intriguingly applied with russet oil-spots glaze. In a lovely size, the bowl was molded regularly in well proportion. While with a charming glaze effects on the inner and outer surface, the bowl’s foot ring was unglazed and was revealed with the meticulously applied protection coating on the body clay. The sandy-feel protection slip cracked in some way and reveal the white clay underneath. Date: Jin to Yuan period(13th-14th century) Width: 8.2cm.
