A fine antique Japanese bronze Ikebana planter in the motif of bamboo in excellent condition a large size great for bonsai tree etc. measuring approx. 19 x 14 x 6 inches. Signed on bottom.

The spherical body consisting of two hemispheres, locked together by a bayonet fitting. Each half reticulated with five roundels, two of them stylized shou characters and inlaid with floral motifs in mixed metal. The insert of ring gimbals with the central bowl is missing. Large and heavy piece, 500 grams of silver, finely cast and in good condition. Diameter 12,5 cm outside and 7 cm inside. H. 10,5 cm. Made in the first half of the 20th century. Marked on the inside with an "M".

This style of Rattan helmet was worn by all foot soldiers during the Qing Dynasty. This helmet retains traces of its original painted symbols, no longer readable, it is presumed that they indicated specific troop or brigade to which the owner belonged.

This small oil lamp has a floral motif cloisonne base and glass globe. An artifact of the Qing dynasty, this style lamp was often referred to as an opium lamp, presummably because of their use in the opium dens of that period.

At 3.5 inches high, it is in good condition with no dents and no losses.
