A beautiful and unique ring by Carmen Beckmann composed of 5 silver bands with a scroll design alternating with stones of turquoise and amethyst quartz. The depth of color of the amethysts vary from dark to light and one of the light stones has a tiny nick on the surface that looks much bigger in the photos due to the extreme magnification. In 1949, William Spratling signed a contract with Conquistador, a large silver factory in Mexico, to provide designs that were to be manufactured and sold by this company. I believe this large, stunning star shaped pendant to be one of these pieces. Measuring 4" long and 3" wide, this eight spoked star has two diagonal sections with azurite fused into the silver as the focal point of the piece.Solid at 30 grams. A square bottle vase by one of the most sought after and influential of all Japanese ceramic artists, Kawai Kanjiro (b. 1890), enclosed in the original kiri box signed by the master, which we have had authenticated at the Kawai Kanjiro Memorial Museum (now endorsed on the top by his daughter, Kyoha). The pale crackle glazed vase dates circa 1935, and is decorated with flower like dabs of rust and cobalt typical of this period, with dark iron fading out from the square mouth and base...

A Matched Set of Four George II Silver Open Salts by David Hennell I, Founder of the Hennell Dynasty of Silversmiths. The Set was assayed in London in 1760. The dimensions are 2 3/4" across and 1 1/2" high. They stand on three cabriole legs and weigh a total of 9 Troy ounces. There is a small crest in the front of each. Excellent condition.
