Alternating dragon and floral reserves on a patterned red ground centering 'three friends of Winter' (pine, bamboo, prunus) medallion. The verso with karakusa around a raised foot ring surrounding a broad, unglazed band around a small, glazed center. A nice small qingpai funerary powder box in the shape of the lotus flower in three small pod. The flowers petals has dropped off showing the base of the flowers.

In good condition with the exception of some expected abrasion and manufacturing faults as shown in the photographs. Some rough edges and minute sand grits on the cover. No damage, crack, chip or any restoration.

The height is about 4.3cm and the width is about 10.2cm

Description:

A decent brush pot was carved from one block of box wood.
By natural root wood form, the wood box was stylized and beautiful when nice and warm patina was obtained on the surface.
It was in good size and was preserved perfectly.
Some protection layers had been done to the bottom by ex-collecter.

It was quite hefty in weight.

Date: Qing Dynasty, 19th century.

Very well designed and executed Persian silver box, the lid is decorated with delicate repousse design depicting two young couple in traditional Safavid dress drinking wine and on the side exquisite foliage decoration. The box bears silver and maker's mark and has a length of 3.5 inches with the height of 1.5 inches. This item is in perfect condition and crafted by master silversmith.

Quite impressive with its big, variegated agate cabochon - I believe this is actually moss agate - and extremely rare this is a Mexican ring with strong presence by Enrique Ledesma, one of Taxco's foremost modernist silversmiths. A stylized Ruyi was rarely found by cast bronze quality.
In unique and beautiful plum flowers and branches form, the bronze Ruyi was put firmly on a stand as a treasured item or on a desk as a nice brush-rest.
It was in quite good size which was rarely found too.
The darken patina was yielded due to age when the overall condition is perfect.

A fine Chinese hardwood stand. The top of irregular form (likely originally intended to hold a very specific object - perhaps a scholar's stone) upon a receded waist on rounded, foliate skirt and six similarly shaped cabriole legs terminating gracefully with scrolled leaf feet and resting on an undulating stretcher all raised on shaped feet. The top being hand planed, subtle rippling is noticed when inspected closely. The underside sealed with an old coat of black lacquer. At least 19th century....
