A soapstone Lohan was in sitting posture.
Holding in the left hand with a rosary, the fairy saint hold a Ruyi in his right hand.
Smiling and in amiable mood, the stone figure was well depicted and was in warm yellowish tint due to enduring old age.

Date: Qing Dynasty, 18th/19th Century.

Large English Victorian sarcophagus form tea caddy, fashioned of rosewood veneers with mother-of-pearl floral inlay to cover and front, resting on compressed ball feet. Two lidded interior tea storage compartments with traces of original tinning, but missing the original glass mixing bowl. Mid 19th century.
