A beautiful and intriguing sterling, onyx and pearl ring by Japanese designer and jeweler Miye Matsukada (1922-1981). She worked from her store on Newbury St. in Boston from 1950 until her death. This ring is a size 7- 7 1/4 and measures 1/2" long and 5/8" wide. It is in fine original condition and signed as shown. A gorgeous asymetric Modernist design.

Chinese Ming dynasty (16th century) blue and white porcelain meiping vase with bell-shaped cover decorated overall with classical lotus flowers among scrolling leafy stems, separated into three layers. The shoulder features the lotus-filled ruyi collar motif. 11 ¼” high (9 ¾” high without the lid). Very good overall condition with typical flaws, small areas where the glaze did not completely cover, and microscopic scratches to the glaze. The vase is slightly misshapen...
Description:
An old Xer inkstone was intriguingly made in a shape of the ancient Chinese musical instrument-GuQin.
Nicely fitted in the original Suanzi wood box, the inkstone was preserved in a perfect condition except some old abrasions on the surface.
And the well carved inscription: Xi-Ann-Ju-Xi(Xi Ann the Recluse)was on the underside of the inksotne.

A Zitan covered box was in quite good condition.
Preserving with the charming purplish black patina, the box was revealed with the characteristic Ox-furs wood grains on the surface .
By a good size, the rectangular box was carved, tenoned and shaped into a typical scholar box.
A similar box was in the book of “The collection of Chinese box”, the collection from a famed connoisseur and antique dealer,Ma Wei Du.
Date: Late Qing periods, late 19th century.
Embroidered in counted and different decorative stitches, some areas couched with gold wrapped thread and sequins. The bird is depicted in the naive Vietnamese style on a red background now faded to a paler shade. Rank insignia from Annam are very rare but closely linked to the Chinese system. Bordered and lined with pale blue silk. Condition: worn, faded, stained, loose threads, restorations. Dimension: 27 cm x 30 cm.
Large and heavy mirror pair of Chinese bronze Mandarin duck-form censers, or incense burners, with lotus stems trailing from open beaks and bodies decorated with molded lotus flowers and etched feathers. Louis Vuitton brass paperweight, produced by Louis Vuitton in the early 1980's, was made to resemble a Louis Vuitton trunk right down to the locks and handles. This heavy (4.5 ounce) solid brass weight measures 2 inches (5 cm) Long, 1 inch (2.5 cm) Wide and 5/8 inch (1.6 cm) Tall. There is a scratch on the bottom that is visible in the photographs, which can be buffed out, but otherwise this is in excellent condition. Comes with a Louis Vuitton box...
Piero Fornasetti porcelian dish of the advertising poster for Arturo Toscanini's Concert at La Scala. The dish is gold trimmed and measures 5.25 inches (13 cm) wide and is 8.5 inches (22 cm) and 1 inch (2.5 cm) in height. There is some wear to the gold trim but there are no chips, cracks or repairs. This is an original Fornasetti not a later Rosenthal re-issue. Marked on back with Fornasetti Logo, FORNASETTI-MILANO/MADE IN ITALY, followed by a small gold letter "P". Circa 1951
