A 14k diamond engagement or wedding ring from the 1930s. This size 6 ring is typical for the the late 1930s with a small 2 point diamond in an enhanced setting (used to give the impression of a larger stone). The shoulders on the 3/4 x 3/16" white gold setting are tooled with flower heads and this ring weighs 2.3 grams. It is unmarked and it tests as 14k (the white gold setting is probably 18k white gold) and the shank tests as 14k gold...

Iconic sterling silver, amethyst & copper brooch designed and signed in the 1930's by early 20th century designer Frederick W. Davis(1880-1961). The pin measures 3" from top to bottom & 2 3/4" across. Weight - 35 grams, 1.02 oz. Measuring 13 inches long x 6 inches wide, this untouched, all-original, double-sided heavy metal sign is an extraordinarily RARE piece of Black American history-- an artifact of the "Jim Crow" era when segregation of the African American race was unfortunately, most commonplace.

A romantic ring from the 1920’s is this platinum filigree solitaire diamond ring. The very attractive design captures some early Art Deco elements. The 0.21Ct brilliant cut diamond is held by six beads in the hexagonal top.

Sanborns crafted this open backed repousse cuff with a floral motif. This type of work is an early method with this one being of exceptional weight of 71 grams and a height of 2in. Sometimes these cuffs have holes where light comes thru and or have a lighter weight of silver. This has none of those issues of damage, repairs or faults of any kind. A lovely item of early work to be admired by collectors.

This fourth edition, miniature, hard cover book , "The Story of Little Black Sambo and the Twins" was written and illustrated by Helen Bannerman, an Englishwoman living in India at the turn of the 20th century who wrote this and a series of six other SAMBO stories to amuse her two little daughters. This sweet, 1930's, wooden pull toy made by the Hustler Toy Corporation of Sterling, Illinois, features a darling little black character pulling the reins of his white mustang horse! The toy measures 12 inches long x 5.5 inches high.

When the toy is pulled, the wheels rotate and the horse's head bobs up and down! Just adorable!
