A stunning Art Deco yellow crystal sterling silver buckle design bangle bracelet from around 1920. This vintage beauty shouts Deco and it has the same silver tooling and buckle clasp as seen on signed DIAMONBAR bracelets by Wachenheimer Bros of Rhode Island (1905-1933) and this is probably an early example. The buckle itself has white rhinestones, the sides are finely and ornately engraved, the interior is cut-out and it is stamped only STERLING...

A fine antique ivory Japanese Netsuke of a Shishi dog or Lion. Beautifully carved with a great patina. measuring approx. 4 x 4 centimeters or 1 3/4 inches. A nice addition to any collection.

Rare Chinese Eastern Han Dynasty Incised Pottery Jar

This very rare and unusual vessel was made during the latter part of the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 25 - 220) and most likely comes from the south central region of China. It is made from a sandy-yellow high-fired pottery, almost like stoneware, and is of cylindrical form with the wide mouth tapering in. Around the shoulder are four sturdy horizontal loop handles. The base is flat, albeit with some firing bubbles...

Measuring 7 3/4 inches long, this VERY RARE, 1930’s VINTAGE, Cast Iron, Mammy spoon rest retains most of its original gold paint suggesting that it saw minimal actual use! The well-dressed Mammy sports a wide grin and holds an iron in her right hand and other household implements in the left.

She is in very fine condition with a smattering of teeny superficial dings to the front side paint surface as well as some very superficial rusting here and there...

An image of the sleeping Shojo (sake Sprite) by the 12th generation Sakaida Kakiemon enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Taihaku Shojo Bori Okimono. The ordinarily playful figure is performed in pure white, a serene look upon his sleeping face creating an almost holy feeling, the ladle fallen at his knee, leaning against a barrel of sake, the empty jar the only color. The image is 31 x 21 x 16 cm (12 x 8 x 6 inches) and is in excellent condition...

Japanese chigo ningyo (doll), Kyoto doll from 1920-1940. Chigo simply translates into a “young child” and the distinct hairstyle of this doll is called Chigo-mage. In the old days, there was a custom among the kuge (aristocrats) class families to send their young boys away to temple for early training. The dolls were made in late Edo period (1603-1868) portraying the looks of these young boys...

Heavy pigment on thickly veined gold creates a powerful collection of scenes from the Taiheiki, the 11th century story of the fall of the courtiers and usurpation of power by two military families, the Taira and the Genji. The screen dates to the 18th century, or middle Edo period. Many old repairs attest to age. We have had it completely remounted, with no painting restoration performed. On the left the famous scene of shooting a fan from horseback from the battle of Yajima...

Wonderful vintage Georg Jensen " Amoeba" bracelet no.89 designed by Henning Koppel. Measuring 8" end to end, it is 1 3/4" wide and weighs a very substantial 136 grams. The biomorphic links are thick, so closed fits a 7" wrist. Fine original condition and signed as shown. This is mid-century modern Scandinavian design at its very best.

Tall Chinese Han Dynasty Glazed Pottery Hu Jar

This attractive pottery jar (or hu) was made during the Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 220). Its form is probably the most well-known of Han Dynasty pottery and every museum collection of Chinese ancient pottery will have an example. It is "heavily-potted" and made from a reddish pottery. The body and neck are decorated with bands of grooves that encircle the body. On opposing sides at the waist are moulded taotie mask ring handles...

Width 9.3 cm. Excellent condition, no chips, cracks, or hairlines and free from restorations.

Meissen porcelain figure of cupid. Depicting a cupid holding a broken heart, marked on underside, late 19th/early 20th century era. Size Height of this fine item is 5.5 inches, in very good condition, no imperfections.

A whimsical Yixing pottery figural group depicting a mature and a young rat in hollowed, half log with a cache of three peanuts. Marked with two impressed seals. Out of our comfort zone with this category (perhaps another's gain) and assuming it likely is a later 20th century item. About 4 1/2" (11.43cm) high, 6" (15.24cm) long, and about 3" (7.62) wide at the base. Condition is excellent.
